they’re talking about IBM hard drives, so all high security facilities do. There was no faster way to yeet 75GB of data into oblivion than store it on one of those from that period. DBAN? Ain’t nobody got time for that, just let your IBM Deathstar render it inaccessible in an instant.

no, it's a nursery chain with multiple branches? I didn't word my initial statement well, but I was referring to the whole chain.
So in the absence of anyone who knows better, since tech is not the primary skill of educational staff, I personally feel like this would have happened even quicker if this wasn't outsourced. Because it would have almost certainly been shared across those branches _somehow_.

and even worse than that, on rare occasions, it's _necessary_.
I have definitely done far more cursed things but only ever as short-term emergency solutions, not for "years" or even "year-singular".

Well, ugh.
Is the logo trademarked? Anything the "NixOS Foundation" (assuming there is such a thing) can do about at least refusing the use of the logo?
Because honestly, two wikis was already bad enough even if it was just "by accident", but petty stuff like this is just user-hostile behaviour from someone/everyone involved.

but do you mean the NixOS wiki at wiki.nixos.org or the NixOS wiki at nixos.wiki?
Because as a newbie, the fact there are two of them, both branded with the official logo, both active, has been confusing.
Searching "NixOS wiki Caddy" for me gives the top result as nixos.wiki which doesn't have the information you mention. The official page doesn't appear in DDG at all.
This is a big problem with NixOS IMO, as a newbie, the presence of two very similar wikis has been really confusing.

that UI looks kind of like a fork of OwnCloud Infinite Scale to me?
Which is fine, apart from OwnCloud did something so bad that it spawned NextCloud in the first place, so perhaps the longevity of OCIS is not as long as you might like.

sorry, yes, what I'm trying to say is that Co-op Group may not be sending any emails as I haven't had any either. The only emails I have had are from Central Co-op, which (as Gary said) do not refer to data loss, only stock availability.
One of the mails says:

As I've said before, the branding is confusing to me

the emails I’ve had about it are from Central Co-op specifically, “the green one”. Nothing from Co-op “the blue one”. Given your location you probably don’t have a Central Co-op membership?

and is this just the "main" (blue) Co-op, and not all the individual other things which use Co-op branding but are actually Central Co-op (yellow/green) round here but is somehow also part of (blue) Co-op?
As they all have disparate loyalty membership schemes so some people might be safer than others depending which one they use?
