that's true, history is always a good source of hope, I started reading the transcript this morning and it's hitting me pretty hard haha "Most futurists start out with the idea, ‘you got a shopping mall, what do you do then?’ Well, the first question to be asked is, ‘why the hell do you have a shopping mall?’". Ever since I've learned about the futurist art movement in high school i got critical of anything calling itself futurist. thanks for sharing ^^

Two days without water followed by a day without electricity is a great way to test out our emergency supplies. I'm so glad we had a large container for water with a pump and a power bar with a backup battery

This morning i finished painting the live rig I'm making for @npub1mtr…n0fg and started putting all the gear in it. I will allow Hex to have in ear monitor in addition to effects on their voice and it'll streamline the outputs for front of house. The next step will be making a bunch of custom cables to wire everything together :)

The next step in building our live rig was making the case that would hold the rack. I decided to go with a road case style construction with 1/4" ply and aluminum extrusions for weight and sturdiness reasons. This was definitely a measure twice cut once kind of situation in order to get everything fitting nicely but it's definitely doable with hand tools and a drill :)

🥰 we've been talking about that a lot recently, like putting effort into things and really going full on on a vision. We're both so done with the whole low effort / no aesthetic aesthetic that is so common these days for music visuals. And I know that a lot of my favorite music videos and visuals that really inspired me as a kid were made by people who really gave a shit and put in the effort, that's kinda my way of making art that could feel like that to me (and probably to other people)
