For software developers, this is the sweet spot. Where AI-assisted software development is good enough to massively increase your productivity, but still retarded enough that your career-worth of judgement and experience is still required to get good results.
That second window will close before too long. The AI and Harness products will get good enough that a programmer is no longer needed. I think you'll still need **a human** for a while, but that human could probably be a Product Owner or highly motivated end-user vibing their own software. Not someone with a history of software development.
Overall, this will be a good thing for everyone, if it's done well. Bad for programmers, good for everyone else.
Plan accordingly.

..well, i could follow it myself.. which _would_ bump its credibility among people who trust me already. this seems exactly right to me.
a "legitimate" new user should pretty quickly get close to my personal web of trust, if that new user is acting in such a way that my network appreciates. and if they're not acting in a way i appreciate, then they're nearly indistinguishable from spam, or something like it. which is exactly what we're trying to avoid, no?
besides, i could always just disable my wot temporarily, and go right back to the state we're in now - and i'd see that new user.
i really can't understand the problem here..

might consider a Daylight Computer (or some eink display that doesn't have the privacy issues of Daylight) + keyboard and ssh.
getting rid of blue light helps with eye strain.
i can't explain it, but there's one couch in my house that if i sit on with a laptop, i get this fuzzy, vague, foggy headache/jaw ache.
i think jaw position actually comes into play a lot with all this stuff

Using Linux does not protect you from exploits and exfiltrations. This is coming from someone who has daily-driven linux for over a decade.
Hardware wallets solve a completely different problem than what you're referring to. A hot wallet on a linux machine is still, for example, swapping your seed phrase from RAM to disk, sitting in cleartext on an unencrypted volume.
