Dude on the phone said that SIM cards "go bad" but like, would that damage really be seen that abruptly? That sounds like the kind of damage that would be slow over time, the kind of thing where I'd notice a downward trend.

What's going on with SIM cards right now? Is it some planned obsolescence thing? Two days ago my phone abruptly stopped getting anything other than LTE, and when I called T-Mobile they told me I needed a shiny new eSIM or whatever?
Did they just abruptly shut off SIM cards?

I don't use "gluten intolerance" because the guy who first proposed it did a correction study and found he was wrong that it was its own thing. Some disorders just include it as a symptom. IBS can make you somewhat "sensitive" to gluten. Gluten is a FODMAP and I am somewhat sensitive to those though, but more to like, onions than gluten.

Getting people to reconsider this is gonna require getting people to deconstruct intellectual ableism in general, which is a much harder task than just making lists of no-no words. The latter isn't convincing to most; people need to understand *why*. Gotta get people to question why comparisons to disabled people are considered so insulting in the first place. Similar to making people realize that so many insults towards men are actually insults to women (eg son of a bitch).

These people got their ideas about autism from Autism Speaks, an organization many of us consider a hate group. In the early 2000s they were spreading some horrendous propaganda about how we destroy people and families like AIDS and cancer. They framed us like useless eaters.

I called that disabled people were being culled over a decade ago mostly just due to how parents who murder their disabled children so often get away with it and are showered with sympathetic praise for "dealing" with a disabled kid for so long.
