Markdown is difficult. The problem is that Fedilab supports real markdown when you activate it at `Settings --> Content` but servers started to interpret markdown and display it by changing it to HTML. So the markdown is gone. You can change the setting I just mentioned and look at the post. It should work after that (:mw: doesn't change markdown). But there is a possibility to get problems with other posts.

You can test two things if it doesn't get better.
1. Set the app to always open if your phone supports that (go in the app drawer, click on the app icon at the top and select keep open, only use if it helps, since restarting the app every now ant then is beneficial)
2. Set up a delivery time in Fedilab notification settings. One user had the same problem and it helped. After that he Re installed and everything was fine.

Hi Tom. I thought about it on my run, and I have to say I'm not a fan of either. I applaud your decision to route support from Mastodon to Codeberg. This is the right way in my opinion. Forums are nice, but even there, most of the questions will either be duplicates (solvable by a mod) or have to be answered by you. Take issue 1418 for example. Only you can decide and either close it or implement it (both should not be too time-consuming).

I know a forum can be fun, but they can also be a lot of work. Here on Fedi, the hashtag is good for questions too. There are many people helping out already. If you want something transferred to Codeberg, you can tag me, and I'm happy to open the ticket. I don't think another medium will be beneficial.

Fixing animated custom emojis would be good (they stop when you're not scrolling).
Not restarting the gif, when you interact with the post would be good too.
The most annoying bug (holes in timeline) you fixed by advising me to turn off settings - > Interface - > use cache.

Strange. Notifications work normal for me. Have you tried restarting the phone and clearing the app cache (long press on Fedilab icon, press on the i, storage, clear cache)?

That helped. :blobcathappy: No gaps, but the timeline got a little more bumpy. I can see it loading posts every now and then while scrolling up. I have to be careful not to scroll up too fast, so it doesn't push the new posts down instead of up, but it's still way better than restarting the app multiple times. Thank you!

If I could wish for one thing to be changed in Fedilab, it's bug 738 (timeline gaps). This is so annoying, as you need to be careful to spot the gap and restart the app every time you encounter one. While reading my timeline in the morning, I have to restart the app about 8-10 times. After that, I check 2-3 accounts that are especially important to me to see if I missed something (which I often do). :neocat_sad:

Yes, I'm a typical Stephen King reader. But over the last few years I got confident enough to tackle some "classics." There were amazing works that weren't that hard to read (Crime and Punishment, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Name of the Rose, Gone with the Wind), but also a few that didn't catch me (Catch-22, Pride & Prejudice). The hardest book to read was The Sound and the Fury. It's good once you understand it. I'll probably read it again in the future. :neocat_book:

I think that's comparable to prejudices. It's always better to assess a person's character as it is, but it takes time to get to know each other. Until then, we need to work with assumptions.
Clichés might hide good ideas, but they are also a starting point. As long as you're open to progress and change, you can overcome them and discover the good idea.

My team and I need to issue property evaluations in a timely manner. Sometimes there are urgent cases, so you need to prioritize them. The report is standardized, but the property is not, so you need to be a little creative with the evaluation, but it's not comparable to actual writing.

Fedilab continues to surprise me with features that I missed. Open a profile and go to 'Media'. This gives you a great view of all the media on the account—only media, no text. One tap opens the media, as expected. What I didn't know is that tapping and holding brings you to the corresponding post. :floofHappy:
