First yard work day of the year. Nothing crazy just your regular mower and weed whacker with some hedge trimming mixed in. Only took the wife and I an hour and a half.
We don’t have a huge yard just your standard .25 acre lot. The work isn’t hard it’s just a constant time suck once the weather warms up. It keeps you from doing things you’d rather be doing like working out or spending time with the kids. I’d love to have a lawn care service just handle all of this but we’re not rich and we don’t really have the money.
Life is so busy and it’s just another reminder that money printing steals our time.

I’ve been wracking my brain about this for about a month now and can’t come to a solid answer (maybe there isn’t one?) but we’re heading towards either communism or an authoritarian regime in the US how do we divert from that?
Unfortunately the general public just doesn’t care or doesn’t have the mental capability to realize the money printer is fueling everything they hate (whether they’re on the right or left) and that ending the printer is the only way out. You still can’t mention bitcoin in public without being cast off as a lunatic. The demand for a complete upheaval is laps ahead of Bitcoin adoption among the population.
This is black pilling but I don’t see a world where the money printer is eliminated peacefully through the democratic process. The rich (who dictate the narratives) depend on it to get richer and the poor (1/3 of the country is on government assistance) depend on it to survive. This doesn’t even account for the people on social security and other government printer ponzis. We’re not voting our way into sound money.
Sure, NGU is nice, but being rich while the country decays around you isn’t close to ideal and isn’t a world I want to pass on to my children. I want to white pill and have optimism that our children won’t grow up in chaos but I don’t see how that’s avoidable. At this point we need solutions and retreating into the woods with our keys just praying this blows over quickly isn’t a real option. We need something actionable right now.

Struggling to see a scenario where the US doesn’t have to go through either communism or fascism before Bitcoin eventually pulls us out. Democracy has degraded (maybe this is how democracy always ends) into a system where the people just vote for whoever they think will print the money to fund the things they want done.
Millennials and Gen Z are simultaneously desperate for anything but the current system that’s making a happy future impossible to envision and unwilling/unable to understand Bitcoin. They literally think it’s in their best interest to give the government more power.
Bitcoin could go to 10M while nations and companies buy in but if the average guy hasn’t taken the orange pill his problems are only exacerbated and he’ll continue to demand more money printing.
The only way to stop demand for communism/fascism is for bitcoin to kill the money printer before we get there and I just don’t see the average person understanding that until it’s too late, if they ever do.

Some talk recently about how Gen Z doesn’t seem interested in Bitcoin and how we can get the message out to them.
I find it difficult to believe we do this through Bitcoin podcasts. Bitcoin has plenty of great personalities @nprofile…aynk, @nprofile…7d35, @nprofile…gzht, etc. and they’re not getting Gen Z listeners. We’ll likely need a widely popular (for reasons not related to Bitcoin) figure who just happens to be a bitcoiner and speaks about it here and there. We need a Charlie Kirk type who has the ear of Gen Z who can slowly bring them into Bitcoin.
It’s the same issue Nostr currently has. If you’re not a bitcoiner Nostr probably sucks. There’s nothing else really discussed here at length and if you’re not curious about bitcoin/money it’s all just boring gibberish.
Just another reason I implore Bitcoiners to speak about other topics that interest them and sprinkle in Bitcoin here and there where it fits.

Main streets are the heart and soul of small towns and suburbs across America. These places aren’t cities comprised of different neighborhoods each with their own personalities. They only have one shot at developing their own culture and it usually spans less than a quarter mile.
Main streets need to be reclaimed from the woke that seems to value their significance more than everyone else.

The main issue with sanctuary cities isn’t that they refuse to hunt down illegals for deportation it’s that they make it just as easy for illegals to live in this country as citizens.
You can get a driver’s license, collect government assistance, apply for free housing, etc. all 100% legit like the next person. Illegals in these places aren’t just confident they’ll never be deported, they get all the benefits that Americans do which gives them all the more reason to sneak into our country.

The reality is no DC judge is going to entertain a criminal case where someone was arrested for being homeless. So what will happen is a handful of vagrants will be arrested for refusing to go to a drug treatment center or the looney bin, the charges will be dropped or play out with zero jail time past the few hours it takes for them to be processed through the facility, cops will realize it’s a complete waste of time and paperwork to make the arrest and won’t even bother.
Our society doesn’t have the stomach to put people in prison or long term mental facilities for sleeping on the sidewalk. Urban homeless issues will continue until this changes.

Seems like the US is going to have to accumulate as much as possible as quietly as possible while trying to bring production back on shore to be ready once the dollar loses appeal. Taking on more debt to buy Bitcoin would be a clear signal to everyone else that they probably should just buy Bitcoin and not US debt.
