Let's use a little common sense: Brazilian government + corruption = 30% to 40% of funds siphoned off, substandard public services, and a culture of handouts. Norwegian government + good management = high taxation and a proportional return in the form of healthcare and public well-being. Brazil is not the same—not by a long shot.

Regarding global politics, I find it highly paradoxical that people do not see themselves as capable of self-organizing into popular assemblies to establish and implement guidelines, yet believe themselves capable of electing a specific number of individuals who will hold the power to define the limits of democracy.
