i have good quality pens and new sketchbooks but the low quality ones are so nice to use! and that im not afraid to make bad illustrations because im using cheap art stuff. perhaps it's secret sauce to actually draw on sketchbooks. that or that i should learn to allow myself to enjoy the finer things in life because i deserve it. 🤔 wow hello did we just have a breakthrough in therapy in just 3 post?

i draw on a low quality sketchbook w a jurasic park cover that i stole from my 4 year old nephew, with the clipboard i bought 10 years ago that i have only used once for counting inventory at my first job, and a ballpoint pen from the hospital. and these are my most favourite things in the world right now. 👍🏻☺️

i think the reason why this percy jackson series is not hitting me is because they dont let the scenes linger which i think is essential to world building. it's a long series but they move so fast like i want to appreciate the sets the props the creatures and the things that are new to me.

a thing that happened on sunday affected me so much that i can't function very well today. wasn't even big. thought that I'd be over it. i even cried about it. but i guess my brain just processed it differently than i expected. it then evolved to self-pity and i started thinking less of myself which i don't do (anymore) so i guess it hit me to my core? my heart started hurting while im doing my little cry, real drama queen that one. i don't even know how to write this but i guess I'll just go straight to the point. i lost tofu last night. he escaped and was hit by a car, and when i found him it was too late.
i put him in a box of flowers with his toys and collar, and buried him. he just turned 1 last week. he was the bestest boy and i love him so much.
