Thank you! Yes, I’m familiar with Michael Wolf’s work – it’s hard not to think of him when shooting in this location. However, given how many photos of these buildings exist, I wanted to take a different approach and move away from his signature, almost geometric clinical precision. I was aiming for something more raw that captures the overwhelming texture of the architecture rather than just its patterns.

They were so consumed by fear that they both turned to wood, becoming two parts of the same trunk. It's fascinating what you wrote about the Pentax. It's clear that you know your gear inside out and can squeeze the soul out of it, not just the technical specs. Incredible work. There's something of the Pictorialist spirit in this shot... the focus on mood being more important than documentary sharpness. The heavy grain makes the space around you feel almost tactile, thick with the thoughts you mention in the title. It looks like a scene straight out of the past, as if time has stood still here.
