Hi @nprofile…llju! If I may share a feature request, would you maybe consider supporting a "server" URL parameter that would allow opening the links on the specified domain?
Let me illustrate how this would work.
If you visit https://most-followed-mastodon-accounts.stefanhayden.com/?server=indieweb.social and you have an account on indieweb.social, all the links will open on your server, so you don't have to copy the usernames and search for them.
You could add an input field so people can put in their own server, but even without that, this would make it possible to share a link with people on specific servers, or whole communities.

While independent ATProto developers continue to put in the effort to actually make Atmosphere more decentralized.
I think it's best to move on and focus on the fediverse instead.

@nprofile…h0ux Yep, said pretty much the same thing the other day.
To me, the one key feature we need is the ability to disable replies, and maybe also control who can reply, those are top 1 and 10 requests on Mastodon's GitHub, and both have been open for several years.
The team's response: it's too hard. Which, fair enough. But putting any effort into UX/UI polishing, as needed as that is, will be wasted as so many people already left because of the constant harassment and gatekeeping.
I also pointed out that by the time Bluesky's VC money runs out, there might already be enough independent communities running the full ATProto stack, so people will just be able to migrate without needing to ever look at the fediverse again.

There is a renewed conversation around this, but for those not aware, this has been a very common abuse tactic during the last big Twitter/X-to-fediverse migration.
You can actually post a followers-only post, tag a non-follower, and only that person and your followers will see it.
Perfect for abusive pile-ons that go undetected.
This is, in great part, why some of you apparently "never see racism" in the fediverse. It happens, has been widely documented, and needs to be handled.
Otherwise, I wouldn't get too excited about any newcomers from Bluesky, Mastodon might just still not be ready.

I brought this up to the Mastodon team (no response yet), but I wonder if the solution, at least a temporary one, to the problem where people get harassed with followers-only posts that @ mention them, thus hiding these posts from public view and moderators, and allowing the abuser's followers to pile on, could be as simple as allowing to filter out such notifications.
