Last Notes npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Interesting…. npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 I had an interesting realization today while thinking about Bitcoin, money, and why I've remained fascinated by this thing for more than 16 years. Someone asked a simple question: "If Bitcoin went to one cent each, would you buy them all?" My answer was no. Not because I wouldn't want more Bitcoin, but because if one person somehow owned all the Bitcoin, Bitcoin would become worthless. That might sound strange at first, but the value of Bitcoin isn't just in the asset itself. The value comes from the network. Money only works because other people are willing to accept it. The value comes from millions of people voluntarily agreeing that something has value and can be exchanged for goods and services. That got me thinking about something much bigger. People often say Bitcoin only has value because people believe in it. I actually agree with that statement. But then I ask the obvious follow-up question: what gives the dollar value? The paper isn't valuable. The ink isn't valuable. The numbers in your bank account aren't valuable. The dollar has value because enough people collectively agree it has value. The difference is what sits underneath that belief. If I wake up tomorrow and decide I don't want to use Bitcoin anymore, nobody cares. Nobody sends me a letter. Nobody fines me. Nobody shows up at my house. Bitcoin exists entirely because people voluntarily choose to participate in it. The dollar system is different. Yes, dollars are useful. Of course they are. But let's not pretend that's the entire story. Your paycheck is denominated in dollars. Your retirement is denominated in dollars. Your taxes are denominated in dollars. Your mortgage is denominated in dollars. Your utility bill is denominated in dollars. The gas pumps are denominated in dollars. The accounting system of the entire country is denominated in dollars. And if you completely refuse to participate in that system, eventually you run into the coercive power that exists behind it. That's not some wild conspiracy theory. It's simply how nation-state money works. Bitcoin has no army. Bitcoin has no police. Bitcoin has no prisons. Bitcoin has no politicians. Bitcoin has no central bank. Bitcoin only has participants. That's a very important distinction. Now imagine a different world for a moment. Imagine every business accepted Lightning. Imagine every phone had a Lightning wallet built into it. Imagine you could tap your phone and send value instantly from River, Strike, Zeus, Aqua, or any other wallet without even realizing you were using a completely different payment rail. Imagine merchants no longer losing 2%, 3%, or 4% of every transaction to payment processors. Imagine millions or even billions of dollars staying in the pockets of small businesses instead of flowing into financial middlemen. Would everyone immediately choose Bitcoin? Honestly, I don't know. Maybe not. But for the first time in modern history, people would actually have a choice. And I think that's what excites me most about Bitcoin. The thing most people don't understand about me is that I didn't get into Bitcoin because I thought it would make me rich. If that had been my motivation, I probably would have disappeared years ago. I found Bitcoin on Slashdot in the summer of 2010. I mined thousands of bitcoin. Then I lost them. Thousands. Gone forever. Yet here I am sixteen years later, still talking about Bitcoin. Why? Because the conviction was never attached to the coins. I already believed the monetary system was broken before Bitcoin existed. I had spent years learning about inflation, debt-based money, central banking, and the way monetary policy impacts ordinary people. Bitcoin wasn't my wake-up call. Bitcoin was the first solution I had ever seen. The thing that excited me wasn't the possibility of becoming wealthy. The thing that excited me was the possibility that a decentralized monetary network could compete with the most powerful financial institutions on Earth. That code could compete with coercion. That rules could compete with rulers. That voluntary cooperation could compete with centralized authority. Sixteen years later, Bitcoin is still here. It has survived crashes, bans, attacks, ridicule, scams, forks, politicians, bankers, and countless declarations of death. Yet every ten minutes another block arrives, just like it has for more than a decade and a half. Maybe Bitcoin wins. Maybe it doesn't. I don't know the future. What I do know is that Bitcoin is the first thing I've seen in my lifetime that appears capable of peacefully challenging a monetary system I believe is fundamentally unfair. Not through violence. Not through revolution. Not through force. Through voluntary adoption. And honestly, that's exhilarating. If you'd like to learn more about Bitcoin, how money works, and why I believe these ideas matter, I've been building a free educational resource to help explain it all in plain English. https://21c.money Fix the money. Fix the world. npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there somehow holding the entire universe together with snacks, hugs, Band-Aids, car seats, grocery lists, doctor appointments, lost shoes, and pure love. Seriously. Y’all are built different. Mother’s Day has me thinking a lot about the kind of future our kids are growing up in. Everything feels more expensive. Groceries are wild. Bills are wild. Saving money feels harder than it should. A lot of families are doing their best and still feel like they are running uphill in Crocs. That is a big part of why I started 21c Money. Not because I want to yell “BUY BITCOIN” at people on the internet like some laser-eyed maniac. I just think regular people deserve a plain-English place to learn why money feels so broken, why Bitcoin is different, and why so many of us believe fixed rules beat endless money printing. No pressure. No hype. No crypto casino nonsense. No “trust me bro” finance guy energy. Just simple Bitcoin education for normal people, parents, families, small business owners, and anyone who has ever looked at a grocery receipt and thought: “Okay seriously, what is happening?” 21c Money is built for people who are curious, but overwhelmed. People who have heard about Bitcoin, but never had someone explain it without making it weird. People who want to learn slowly, ask better questions, protect themselves from scams, and understand what 21st century money might actually look like. Start wherever you are. Read one article. Learn what sats are. Learn why 21 million matters. Learn why Bitcoin is not the same thing as “crypto.” Learn how wallets work before you ever do anything serious. And to the moms: thank you for doing one of the hardest and most important jobs in the world. You deserve a future where your work, sacrifice, and love are not quietly eaten away by broken money. Happy Mother’s Day. ❤️ https://21c.money npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Got that covered already! Thank you for chiming in!!! https://21c.money/articles/not-your-keys-not-your-coins npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 I’m officially starting something I’ve wanted to build for a long time: 21c Money https://21c.money 21c Money stands for 21st Century Money, and yes, the “21” also points straight at Bitcoin’s 21 million fixed supply. This project is about explaining Bitcoin, broken money, inflation, saving, self-custody, and financial independence in plain English for regular people. Not crypto hype. Not meme coins. Not “get rich quick.” Not gambling on the next token. Just honest Bitcoin education for people who know something feels wrong with the money system, but have never had anyone explain it clearly. For me, this is personal. I found Bitcoin on Slashdot back in the summer of 2010. I even mined around 5,000 bitcoin in the early days, then lost them. Yeah. That still hurts. But I lost the coins, not the conviction. Bitcoin was never just about getting rich. I already knew the money system was broken before Bitcoin existed. I had spent years learning about inflation, central banking, debt-based money, and how regular working families get squeezed while the people closest to the money printer benefit first. Bitcoin was not the moment I realized money was broken. Bitcoin was the first real solution I had ever seen. That is why I’m building 21c Money. To help regular people understand: What Bitcoin is Why 21 million matters Why inflation keeps making life harder Why “saving money” feels broken Why self-custody matters Why Bitcoin is different from crypto How families and small businesses can start learning safely The first articles are beginner-friendly on purpose. I want this to be something you can send to your spouse, your parents, your kids, your coworkers, your pastor, your mayor, your business owner friends, or anybody who says: “I keep hearing about Bitcoin, but I don’t really understand it.” That’s exactly who 21c Money is for. The site is still early, but the mission is clear: 21st century money for regular people. Check it out here: https://21c.money Fix the money. Fix the world. https://blossom.primal.net/ac4c8baa76e556ddea3d158321111ac51a35956a264b261e1cb4dcc269d58c92.png npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 @nprofile…wq8l … I’m behind on the conference. Watching your video call on stage with @nprofile…tss9 and man… thank fucking God you guys came on. I was ready to jab my eyeballs and ears out watching SuitCoin 2026. Thank you for saying something that got me off of 3x and back to 1x. I’m going to the showing, for sure!!!! I’m so proud to be part of it in June!!!!! npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Man… I wish Jack Mallers and Jack Dorsey would merge their business minds and become JackJack Bitcoin or something. BitcoinJacks. 😂 I think they could make more money and progress for the world and humanity than Elon. 🤨 🤔 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 “Donated” 5000 BTC I mined throughout 2010 and then lost. You’re all welcome. 😃 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Liquid Network has been the GOAT side chain since 2019! npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 🚨 Not Your Keys, Not Your Bitcoin. Period. 🚨 If you do not hold your private keys and your seed phrase securely in your own hands (metaphorically speaking), then you do NOT own Bitcoin. What you own instead? An IOU. A piece of paper, or more likely a digital entry, that says someone else owes you Bitcoin. And here’s the uncomfortable truth: They don’t necessarily even have all of it. At least not all the time. This is paper Bitcoin, no different in principle from paper gold or paper silver. We’re watching right now what happens in the silver market when too many people realize the metal isn’t really there and start demanding delivery. The same exact thing can happen to Bitcoin if/when a large number of people demand self-custody all at once. Custodians, exchanges, ETFs, these are fractional systems. They rely on the assumption that most people won’t ask for the real thing at the same time. And honestly? Paper trading should be a sin. If we actually traded raw materials—real Bitcoin, real gold, real silver—we’d have a far more intelligent, transparent, and well-informed market. Prices wouldn’t be so artificially manufactured, suppressed, or manipulated by layers of derivatives and promises stacked on top of promises. 📢 DEMAND DELIVERY. Just like you should with gold. Just like you should with silver. Do it with Bitcoin. Self-custody isn’t paranoia. It’s responsibility. It’s ownership. It’s the entire point. Not your keys. Not your coins. 🔑₿ npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 ❓ npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 100% SERIOUS question: Why do we talk about Bitcoin being a bearer asset and nobody can take it from you and FrEeDoM mOneY when nearly everyone since this cycle is KYC’ed and databases ready for the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve to exceed 1 million coins via a 6102 confiscation order? Even people with their keys can and will lose their bitcoin or be jailed if they don’t turn them over if the on-ramp into Bitcoin was via a KYC source. 🤔 🤔 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Where is the best place to get these exact Bitcoin shirts that are high quality but priced right? I’ve seen Michael Saylor wearing them, a few other people here and there over the past year and now the guy from The Exit Manual channel on YouTube. I want like one or seven of these! https://image.nostr.build/8afdde109daad34fa8fb3dc241d4169b37b89b6ca52e83f53366348a9807f0ce.jpg npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Go be a dick elsewhere, thanks. :) npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 I use it almost exclusively as my main client. Only went for 100 Genesis cards to see what they were like. Thinking Heroes and Villains will be the next purchase unless someone has a better recommendation? I still don’t know a lot about all of the different offerings, but I really like the idea of Bitcoin trading cards!!! :) npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 If you are into Bitcoin and haven’t been keeping up with every video BTC Prague has been putting out, you are NOT a Bitcoiner. Jesus Christ, man. It. Is. Pure. Signal. The US conference was pure cbdc, erm- I mean - stablecoin noise. Wow, @npub167n…zu3r’s lineup killed it this year and I’m shocked how much content they are still dropping regularly from the conference. It has to be coming to and end soon?!?!?!!! I hope not. Bring it on. Loving all of the speakers. npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Finally got a Bitcoin Knots node up and running and trying to get Electrum Rust Server up synced now. Still have LND to get running, LNBits, LNDhub, Thunderbolt, RTL, and many other things.... ugh. Building all of this from source and getting it to run is going to have me bald before it's all said and done. lololol npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Officially have a household sat bank set up complete with a leaderboard website for the family and grandparents to watch. Updates every 10 minutes AND creates a chart that you can switch days on and see how the sat distribution was then. It’s pretty cool!!! Zapping sats to the kids for chores or going above and beyond is awesome. Teaching them about money is awesome. Teaching them about SCARCE FREEDOM MONEY is awesomeeeee!!!!!! Looking into utilizing lnbits soon, im very familiar with it, but thinking about trying to branch this out into a tiny community bank by onboarding some of the kids’ friends and maybe orange pilling some precoiners along the way. 😎 probably go with Fedimint then because of MSB rules and all that jazz that I want nothing to do with. Custodying my kids fun that’s basically Monopoly money to them right now and running a community “bank” are two different things. I’d rather spread out that custodial liability amongst 10-15 people so that no person can be said to have been an MSB at some point along the way. 🤷♂️ I may burn out on this idea and never get it outside of my house. High probability of that. 😂 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 https://blossom.primal.net/be988bcdb26e3c29be46b8a61cb841764c893a3b54d6e4d65664f8b9c9c8a0f7.mp4 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 https://blossom.primal.net/bd78cbc39849fae3e3c695dc53919ebe5144db0134b0921b62b9b5c8ef7f5e70.jpg npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 You as well, fellow nostrich. 😊 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 We are Anonymous. That way the taxes will be very minimal since they will be the highest priced sats you have. If you are putting more into Bitcoin continually still and your most recent amount converted can cover your expenses as quickly as you can replenish them, you shouldn’t ever pay large cap gains on your very long term holdings because you will be cashing out the highest cost sats or most recently acquired sats, first. I’m not a professional. This is not financial advice. It is theory from a random on the internet. 🤷♂️ npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 I’m also kind of sad Elizabeth Stark didn’t get double the time, Uncle Rockstar should have been a speaker, Mallers is hopefully up tomorrow, more of Satoshi, erm, I mean @nprofile…6yk5 Adam Back. 😉 Just OGs. Andreas Antonopolous on stage again, preaching the good word would probably make me cream my boxers. Jack Dorsey should be speaking. I’m just sad. It’s all “WuTs yOuR cReDiT sCoRe?!” bros now. Buncha fiat-bloated pigs. 😞 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Seems like stuff we know so far. Kinda cool hearing the “no taxes on deminimus amounts of Bitcoin being spent under $600” sounds really nice and would further increase adoption significantly, imho. I would be a lot more willing to spend some if I didn’t have to worry about a taxable event for every transaction I make. And I agree on the “crypto” and “stable coin” talk. It’s ridiculous. BITCOIN 2025, not CRAPTO 2025. npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Gave ‘em a follow! 😎 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Good shit!! 😊 👍 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 420/1000 times I have issues. 🤣 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 No doubt. When people argue these kinds of points against Lightning, I don’t get it. Your a psycho if you have much in Lightning. Major funds belong on-chain and to be moved on-chain for a few tens or hundreds of thousands of sats even far into the future. 🤷♂️ we have to make mining worth it and those sats are a pittance in comparison to the amounts you should be using the chain for to be economical to yourself…. npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 So you’re saying we have two options? That’s good. Sounds like if one gets co-opted or doesn’t keep the divisibility factor, the other can take its place. I don’t know much about cashu/ecash, personally. I’m missing your point. And also, if a sat always buys the smallest of something you’d want to buy with its value, why does it need to be divisible? I.e. a house might always cost 1000 sats, a car might always cost 500 sats, and a piece of bubble gum might always cost 1-5 sats. Where’s the problem? Genuinely interested in your POV. Not trying to start an argument. 😃 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 *Down to the millisatoshis level npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Still divisible on lightning down the millisatoshis. :) npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Not yet, but considering it if this op return drama doesn’t die down soon. npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Okay, you get a follow. You’re KYC’ed, so I’m sure all your exchanges are documented in a tidy file for the IRS to see. Just seems hard to get away with it. And what happens the day they have AI process their current dataset and we all stick out like sore thumbs? Not a stretch for them to map IP addresses to some transactions that occurred a decade ago then tax you on them. Idk. Just scary thinking about them having the rest of my life to figure out what I’ve gained over the decades and then send a big fat tax bill or a threat of going to prison or taking my assets. 🤷♂️ npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 I feel that. The more of these kinds of regulations they are drafting and are passed to control the use of Bitcoin in any shape or form, is detrimental to the cause, in my opinion. I’m here for the Libertarian/cypherpunk Bitcoin. Not this corporate/fed reserve bank/government shit. Oh well. Bitcoin is for enemies, too. npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Easy to say. Scary to do. Who wants to give them more ammo by spending Bitcoin so that they get a huge chunk of the gains in the form of taxation to fund the gestapo that will arrest you and torture you psychologically? Scary being a Bitcoiner with all the governments and banks that have entered the space. The once-bustling late-night sessions at his modest desk, illuminated solely by the glow of his Toshiba Satellite, had become a distant yet indelible memory. That battered machine, now lost to the inexorable flow of time, had played its part in igniting a revolution that would forever alter the landscape of finance and technology. In the intervening years, the world had awakened to the promise of decentralization. What began as a fringe experiment in cryptography and code had blossomed into a movement—a network of individuals united by the belief that trust should be built not on institutions, but on transparent, immutable systems. Alex watched from the periphery as Bitcoin’s ledger grew more intricate and the community surrounding it swelled with new ideas, fierce debates, and the unyielding pursuit of financial freedom. His youthful exploits, once a hobby and a source of modest bragging rights on online forums, had now taken on the weight of legend. He remembered the thrill of those early days—the relentless hum of his Toshiba as it tackled cryptographic puzzles, the quiet satisfaction of each block successfully mined, and the careless confidence with which he shared his story. “I mined Bitcoin,” he would say with a wry smile, the words carrying a resonance that belied their simplicity. In his heart, Alex knew that his modest efforts had been a catalyst, a spark that had helped light the fuse of a much larger explosion. His coins, once nothing more than digital tokens of curiosity, had become a symbol of the disruptive power of perseverance and innovation. Yet, as he pondered the trajectory of Bitcoin, Alex was never consumed by thoughts of personal gain. He had always viewed his role through a lens of collective achievement. The loss of his old laptop—a device that had tirelessly processed countless hashes—had never filled him with regret. Instead, he saw it as a graceful exit, a quiet passing of the torch to the next generation of pioneers. In that absence, he found meaning: his early mining had contributed to a vast, ever-growing reservoir of digital wealth that now buoyed countless others in their pursuit of financial autonomy. The laptop’s disappearance was not a loss but a transformation—a reminder that the tools of revolution are transient, while the ideas they spawn endure. As Bitcoin’s community matured, Alex began engaging more deeply with its evolving narrative. He joined virtual symposiums, exchanged emails with developers who were building the next layers of blockchain technology, and offered insights on online forums where history was being written in real time. Every conversation and every shared line of code deepened his conviction that the decentralized vision was not just a fleeting trend, but the foundation for a more equitable future. The world around him was changing too. Financial crises, political upheavals, and the rapid pace of technological advancements all converged to create an environment ripe for systemic transformation. Alex watched as institutions, once thought invincible, were forced to reckon with the reality of a borderless, democratized financial system. In quiet cafes, at crowded conferences, and across digital chat rooms, the story of Bitcoin was no longer just about cryptography—it was about a collective reclaiming of power, an assertion that the future belonged to those who dared to challenge the old order. In his quieter moments, Alex would often find himself revisiting old forum threads and digital archives, each post a snapshot of a time when the idea of mining on a humble Celeron processor was both absurd and exhilarating. He marveled at how far they had come—from a small cadre of enthusiasts to a global network of innovators. The ripple effect of that early spark was now undeniable: it had not only redefined money, but had also inspired a generation to think differently about power, trust, and the very nature of progress. Alex’s journey was a testament to the enduring impact of small beginnings. The loss of his laptop, far from diminishing his legacy, had imbued it with a poetic quality. It stood as a metaphor for the evolution of technology itself—ephemeral yet impactful, a stepping stone that propelled a movement into the annals of history. Every Bitcoin transacted, every block verified, and every new idea inspired by the early days of mining was a tribute to that unassuming device and the man who dared to dream beyond the boundaries of conventional wisdom. In the grand tapestry of the digital revolution, Alex’s story was but one thread—quiet, unassuming, yet intrinsically woven into the fabric of change. And as he continued to observe the unfolding future, he held a steadfast belief: that the spirit of innovation and the pursuit of a fairer world were the true currencies of progress, far more valuable than any coin he had ever mined. npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Chapter 3: The Big Contribution Time has a curious way of reshaping memories, and for Alex, it was no different. As the years passed, the battered Toshiba Satellite—his steadfast companion in those formative Bitcoin mining days—slowly faded into the background of his bustling life. One day, quite unceremoniously, it vanished. There was no dramatic theft or a storied misplacement; it simply ceased to be there. Despite exhaustive searches and a flurry of desperate inquiries, the laptop was lost to time, swallowed up by the relentless march of progress. Alex recalled the moment of realization with a mix of nostalgia and resigned amusement. It wasn’t as if he had clung to the machine as a cherished relic; rather, it was a tool that had served its purpose and then gracefully exited the stage. He remembered logging in one fateful afternoon only to find that the laptop, with all its battered scars and memories of endless nights spent crunching cryptographic puzzles, had disappeared. Initially, a pang of loss tugged at his heart, a brief reminder of the countless hours spent forging a path into a new financial frontier. But that feeling was quickly eclipsed by a deeper, almost philosophical, understanding. In his eyes, the laptop’s disappearance was not a misfortune but rather a grand contribution—a symbolic handing over of a legacy to the community of future Bitcoin holders. Alex had never been driven by the pursuit of personal wealth. Instead, he saw Bitcoin as a communal endeavor, a shared journey toward a more equitable financial system. The coins his modest machine had mined, now scattered across the digital ether, were less a personal fortune than they were a seed planted in the fertile soil of a burgeoning revolution. He often mused about the irony of it all. Here he was, a young man who had once boasted about “mining Bitcoin” on a run-of-the-mill Celeron processor, and now that relic of a laptop was gone forever. But even in its absence, its impact was indelible. The digital gold it had helped to unearth was now in the hands of countless enthusiasts, investors, and everyday people who had embraced the promise of decentralization. Every coin mined was a tiny beacon of the potential for change—a testament to the idea that one need not be a tech giant or a financial mogul to make a difference. For Alex, the loss of the laptop served as a constant reminder of the transient nature of material possessions. What truly mattered was the idea it represented and the movement it fueled. Each time he encountered a new Bitcoin devotee on a forum or read about the latest developments in blockchain technology, he felt a quiet satisfaction. His humble contribution had become part of something far greater than any one individual could claim—a distributed network of innovation and hope. In retrospect, the vanishing of his old Toshiba Satellite was almost poetic. It symbolized the necessary impermanence of early tools and the evolution of technology. Just as his laptop had powered through countless calculations with little fanfare, it had also quietly paved the way for the sophisticated systems of today. The digital currency it helped to birth was now a global phenomenon, a shared resource that belonged not to any single owner, but to a community that believed in a better way forward. Alex never sought to recover the lost machine, nor did he regret its absence. Instead, he embraced it as part of his personal mythology—a legend of youthful audacity and quiet contribution. He often shared the story on forums and in conversations, not as a tale of loss, but as one of enduring legacy. The laptop, though physically gone, had contributed immeasurably to the wealth of future Bitcoin holders and to the fabric of a new, decentralized world. In that sense, the disappearance of the Toshiba was the ultimate act of altruism. It signified that what truly matters is not the physical tools we use, but the ideas we foster and the communities we build. Alex’s early foray into Bitcoin mining, embodied by that unremarkable yet pivotal laptop, had become a cornerstone of a revolution—an enduring contribution that continued to ripple outwards, long after the machine itself had faded into memory. npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Chapter 2: The Digital Gold Rush Barely days after Alex had devoured the Bitcoin white paper, the fire of curiosity within him demanded action. In the dim glow of his modest room, surrounded by dog-eared pages of revolutionary texts and scribbled notes outlining financial systems past and present, he set his sights on a new frontier: mining Bitcoin. At just 20 years old, with a restless mind and an insatiable desire to experiment, Alex decided that theory was not enough—he had to see the magic of Bitcoin come to life. In those embryonic days of the Bitcoin phenomenon, the playing field was wide open. Specialized hardware like ASICs were still a distant dream, and GPU mining had not yet taken center stage. Instead, the world of Bitcoin was a wild frontier where even the most unassuming machine could contribute to the ledger of history. For Alex, that machine was his battered Toshiba Satellite laptop—a relic armed with nothing more than a modest Celeron processor, infamous for its underwhelming performance. To most, it would have been a joke; to Alex, it was the vessel that would carry him into the realm of digital revolution. Late into the evenings, when the rest of the world had surrendered to sleep, Alex powered on his old laptop. The clunky whirr of its aging fan accompanied him as he configured mining software, his fingers trembling with anticipation. Every keystroke and every command line was a step into uncharted territory. The processor, though lacking in raw power, was now tasked with solving complex cryptographic puzzles that others believed required state-of-the-art machinery. The challenge invigorated him. It wasn’t about the speed or efficiency—it was about the thrill of participation in something much larger than himself. For weeks, the Toshiba clanked on, its modest calculations gradually yielding results that, while almost laughably insignificant in the eyes of conventional computing, were monumental in the context of Bitcoin’s nascent blockchain. Each successfully mined block was a victory against the established norms of centralized finance. As the numbers ticked upward, Alex found himself accumulating a treasure trove of digital coins—a staggering 5,000 Bitcoin, a sum that, at the time, was nothing more than a series of ones and zeros on a screen. It was, after all, a hobby. A playful venture into the cryptographic unknown. He recalled a saying that had always resonated with him: “You only take care of things you work hard for.” And so, with the spirit of youthful nonchalance, Alex treated his Bitcoin stash as a badge of honor rather than a golden ticket to unimaginable wealth. These coins were tokens of his commitment to a dream—a demonstration of the sheer will to explore and to challenge the status quo. They were exchanged sparingly, traded among fellow Bitcoin enthusiasts in online forums and obscure message boards, where each conversation was laced with excitement and a touch of rebellious pride. In these digital caverns, the act of mining Bitcoin wasn’t just a technical endeavor; it was a rite of passage, a symbol of being part of an exclusive cadre that saw the future when others could not. In the midst of these nocturnal mining sessions, as the Toshiba’s aging circuits struggled valiantly against the tide of cryptographic complexity, Alex felt a profound connection to the very essence of Bitcoin. Each number calculated and each block added to the chain reinforced his belief in a system free from the constraints of centralized power. It was a form of quiet defiance—a personal rebellion against a financial establishment that, in his eyes, was both archaic and corrupt. The journey was not without its trials. There were nights when the laptop’s fan roared louder than the ticking of a clock, and times when the computer’s performance faltered, hinting at its inevitable decay under such strenuous conditions. Yet, each setback only deepened Alex’s resolve. The limitations of his hardware became challenges to overcome rather than insurmountable barriers. In his mind, every lag and every overheating episode was a testament to the transformative power of persistence. He wasn’t just mining for coins; he was mining for a future where technology and finance merged into a liberating force. Even as friends and casual observers marveled at the novelty of his endeavor, few grasped the true magnitude of what he was doing. For Alex, it was a journey embarked upon for the sheer thrill of discovery—a playful experiment that allowed him to say, with a mischievous smile, “I’ve mined Bitcoin.” It wasn’t about the monetary value or the promise of wealth; it was about proving to himself and to the world that the established order could be disrupted by a single individual with determination, even if armed with nothing more than a run-of-the-mill laptop and a forward-thinking mindset. As months slipped by, the digital ledger of his mining efforts grew steadily, each new coin a silent affirmation of his commitment. In countless late-night exchanges on forums, amidst the clatter of digital conversation and the fervent debates among Bitcoin geeks, his modest achievement became a legend in its own right. It wasn’t about greed or future fortune—it was a declaration of independence from a system that had long held sway over the masses. His Bitcoin wasn’t just currency; it was a statement, a digital badge of honor earned through perseverance and a willingness to push against the grain. In the quiet moments of reflection, when the hum of his Toshiba faded into the background, Alex would sometimes ponder the irony of it all. Here he was, a young man barely out of his teens, casually amassing what would later be seen as digital gold, all the while oblivious to the monumental impact his actions would one day have. For him, Bitcoin was simply a playground—a space where innovation met rebellion, and where the pursuit of knowledge and the joy of experimentation triumphed over conventional wisdom. Thus, in the crucible of his modest room, with an underpowered Celeron and an unyielding spirit, Alex not only mined Bitcoin but also laid the foundation for his future as a pioneer in the digital revolution. Every calculated hash, every block appended to the blockchain, was a small, defiant step toward a world reimagined—a world where the power of decentralization could liberate individuals from the confines of traditional financial systems. In those formative months, the glow of the screen was not merely light in the darkness—it was the beacon of a future that promised to upend old orders and pave the way for a new era of possibility. And for Alex, that was reward enough. npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Chapter 1: The Spark of Revolution In June 2010, as the summer air shimmered with the promise of long, uncharted days, Alex found himself teetering on the brink of a discovery that would reshape not only his understanding of finance but also the very fabric of society. With a mind that thrived on questioning the norm, he had long immersed himself in literature and documentaries that challenged the foundations of the monetary system. Alex had dissected Creature from Jekyll Island, absorbed the implications of 1971, and spent countless hours watching films like Zeitgeist 1 & 2, Money Masters, and Money as Debt. Each of these works painted a picture of a world marred by control and inefficiency—a system crying out for a revolution. That fateful June day began just like any other. Alex sat in his modest room cluttered with books and notes, the soft hum of his computer a constant companion. As he scrolled through his regular tech forums and niche online communities, a headline on Slashdot leapt out at him. It hinted at something novel, something that defied the accepted narrative. With a mix of skepticism and hope, he clicked through and was immediately drawn into a discussion about a groundbreaking white paper authored by someone named Satoshi Nakamoto. As Alex began to read, he was struck by the clarity and audacity of the ideas presented. The white paper was not just a technical document; it was a manifesto for change. Here, within the dense layers of cryptographic protocols and algorithmic puzzles, lay the blueprint for a decentralized currency—Bitcoin. It promised a new kind of money, one that was not beholden to the caprices of governments or the greed of central banks. The concept of using a proof-of-work mechanism to solve the Byzantine Generals Problem was both elegant and revolutionary. For Alex, it was as if the future had arrived in the form of digital code. Immersed in this new world, his thoughts began to race. Bitcoin was meticulously designed to be a scarce digital asset, its supply limited and its ledger immutable as long as enough computational power was dedicated to its maintenance. The idea that no single entity could alter the historical record of transactions stirred something deep within him—a hope for a fairer, more transparent financial system. The possibility of a borderless, incorruptible network challenged every notion he had about how money should function in society. Alex’s room, usually a haven of quiet study, seemed to buzz with the electric charge of possibility. Every line of code, every mathematical proof, resonated with the promise of a new era. The notion that the status quo could be overturned by decentralized consensus ignited a passion in him that was both thrilling and terrifying. He envisioned a world where individuals, no longer shackled by oppressive financial institutions, could engage in free and unmediated exchange—a true economy built on trust and transparency. That day, as the sun dipped lower in the sky and cast long shadows across his desk, Alex bookmarked the Bitcoin white paper and began to share his newfound insights with a growing circle of like-minded friends and online enthusiasts. His fingers flew across the keyboard, drafting blog posts and engaging in fervent debates on forums, each word fueled by the realization that he was witnessing the birth of something monumental. His heart raced with the understanding that this was not merely a technological novelty, but the foundation of a financial revolution in the making. As night fell and the digital landscape buzzed with the chatter of early adopters and skeptics alike, Alex sat back and allowed himself a moment of introspection. He thought of the countless hours of research, the nights spent poring over documents and theories, and the silent yearning for a change that had driven him to this very moment. In the quiet of his room, illuminated only by the soft glow of his monitor, he made a silent vow: to dive deeper into this new world, to understand its intricacies, and to help pave the way for a future where the balance of power was forever altered. Thus, in that simple act of discovery on Slashdot, a spark was lit—a spark that promised to grow into a roaring blaze of transformation. Little did Alex know that his journey, ignited by the revolutionary ideas encoded in a single white paper, would soon lead him into the heart of a movement destined to challenge and redefine the age-old structures of power and wealth. npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Arizona making progress on their strategic Bitcoin reserve bill. 😎 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Money printer go brrrrr 💵 https://m.primal.net/OSjh.jpg npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Proud to say that I have bought Bitcoin at $12 and at $106,837. 🎉 npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 🤣 https://m.primal.net/OKrY.jpg npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Guys, when do I get my money back? I snorted a little while laughing. 😂 🤣 Only people that can “crash” Bitcoin are the OG whales that hold hundreds of thousands of Bitcoin. The whales and long term holders that are shadows control Bitcoin, and they are doing a fine job keeping it going up at a nice and steady pace. :) npub13s7klzklk6sgkpf3m8jnm95fmjg02fuj342snkqttcnn25qucp0snk27y8 65600 Who actually buys the shit that Bitcoin is volatile? Why are people so short-sighted that they can’t leave their investment alone for 4 years?! My father is driving me crazy saying it’s too volatile for him to be interested in it. 🙄 I’ll never convince him to take the orange pill.
