Things have changed with libtorrent supporting it now, we just need to get websocket trackers into the magnet links. Maybe dtan could inject them?
It would be great if we could integrate this player (yes it's archived but still the best one I could find):

About kind 2004, I have no idea and don't even know who proposed it. The description says:
"This event works exactly like a kind 1 and should follow NIP-10 for tagging."
Only explanation I can come up with is that you can filter torrent comments: if your client doesn't support viewing 2003s seeing comments on that event would be odd. But then again I'm sure that's the case with other kinds already.

I was considering adding webtorrent support to https://dtan.xyz or https://nostrapps.github.io/ntorrent but we already have too many nostr clients (imho) and nobody is gonna go somewhere else to watch a movie. Would be a killer feature 😉 @npub180c…h6w6 is already beating us to it 😅
