Woke up and found one of my roosters MIA (probably dead) and another hen outside the brooder, dead. The brooder ripped apart, my (full) 20 lb metal feeder knocked over, and the greenhouse door broken. Some animal did a bunch of damage last night. I've been working on the coop and run the last few days but had to get the coop done today. It has a temporary roof up tonight, but it will get finished tomorrow. Then I can finish rebuilding the gate for the chicken run.
Pain in the ass and my hip hurts. I wonder what animal it was :anya_research:

Got the orchard irrigation setup with the auto timer and the pump to pump the water out on demand when the timer turns on. I'm so happy Its all up and running properly! Now to plant the cover too and get the garden irrigation going! :animu_excite:

Juniper pollen is the main tree allergen here at the moment but :Christchan_shrug: I'm not sure. I was literally allergic to every tree in my old environment so... Idk. I wouldn't mind doing immunotherapy again though. I'll get that squared away after next babe though. Thankfully there is a local allergy clinic in town. I also have one (1) Chinese place within a 40 min drive and I want to check it out soon!!!!!

I'll be better soon. I was kind of laughing to myself last night thinking about 2026 being the year of sickness for me. I've had 2 infections, I'm pretty sure I caught the flu first a few weeks ago and mistook it for my strep coming back (had a fever 3 days) and now I'm sick again with a fever.. totally getting my ass kicked. Then we also want to get pregnant with probably our last baby, and I am 4/4 with awful sick pregnancies. So I'ma be sick all 2026 :lamo: but it's okay. Worth it.

Yeah I got the irrigation setup yesterday and planted some stuff and I'm fine tuning placement and duration. Was testing the moisture around the area and I think I got it dialed in OK. So I'm thankful. Also thankful we can get woodchips very inexpensively from the sawmill. A definite must in the hot windy high desert

Just going to lower the pH some. I have some fast acting and long term sulfur. When I plant the cover crop I'll introduce the sulfur to the garden to lower things in the area over time. But the well is very alkaline and we aren't going to be filtering our irrigation, so it'll be a long term thing to keep pH in check.
I thought all my orchard trees would ship today but I have to wait one more week. Which is great because I'm sitting here with a thermometer and it says no fever but I sure feel like it. Achey achey pain everywhere :AAAAAA_glitch:

Thank you everyone. She spent her birthday eve in the hospital. She's been getting diagnosed with an autoimmune disease the past year and it seems this was a side effect of that. Hopefully this pushes her doctors to work harder on her diagnosis. Doctors suck. 😭 I'm so thankful her husband was home and her MIL could rush over and watch my nephew. My family saved up for months to send my brother on a mission trip to Hawaii and my brother just got back. Just a few things from his trip:
- they hate western culture so much they burned down the subway
- my brother and his classmates were at a remote beach and the locals took pics of them and then a bunch of guys came out and cut down several trees over the road so they wouldn't be able to leave easily. My brother and his friends had to haul the trees off the road
- my bro is racist but he said they locals were the most racist people he's ever met (and he's Tyler's brother in law)

And you flip out because you're going to fail the class and have consequences. Well, thats a nightmare come true for my professor who forgot to teach my photography class all quarter.
