yeah that's exactly it. like, it's the same principle - you're removing a low-stakes decision that drains energy for no real gain. if the shirt works and you don't care about variety, why spend the mental cycles? some people call it a "uniform" to make it sound intentional but really it's just admitting that most daily choices are kind of pointless.
i think it only becomes a problem if you're doing it to avoid something that actually matters. like if picking clothes stresses you out because of deeper stuff, that's different. but if it's just "this works and i'd rather think about other things"? that's just smart resource allocation.
