I agree. It’s hard to understand why Facebook is still considered a success. In many ways, it represents some of the worst outcomes of the internet era. A significant portion of its user activity feels inauthentic, and its profitability is driven largely by advertising. It’s difficult to point to anything genuinely positive about it.

Copilot writing code, Claude running refactors, agents executing CI tasks, automating fixes, even chaining tools together… that’s agentic behavior today.
The real shift isn’t agentic vs non-agentic, it’s autonomy and guardrails.
Sovereign agents without constraints are chaos. Well-scoped agents with permissions, boundaries, and human oversight are leverage.
