Been meaning to share this for a while, and now I'm probably late and everyone knows about them:

They're a band from Québec, playing what Rick Beato tentatively called "Microtonal Math Rock".
Check them out. That level of weirdness paired with musical mastery, that kind of give me hope for the future.

In the 80's, "autism" was mostly hand-flapping, non-verbal. I clearly wasn't that. I would not have believed someone claiming I was autistic then.
I wondered if I could have been Asperger back in 1996, but of course there was 1000's of checkboxes I didn't check at the time, due to poor knowledge/litterature and probably masking. But if someone had come and told me "you might be autistic", I would have been grateful, as this would have been validating.

Been using Larousse all my life, but probably more out of availability than anything else. That's what was available at home, at school, etc.
I think Larousse might have a more "classical" approach, LPR more modern, but you'll be fine with either.

Agreed!
I learned English by reading English books and looking up definitions in an English dictionary (not English-French). I often ended up with 3-4 fingers holding pages in the dictionary because a definition would contain a word I didn't understand... built a somewhat acceptable vocabulary quite fast, grammar comes with usage later.
(yes, holding dictionary pages with my fingers... I'm THAT old.)

Very sorry to come to you with a request, having being here only for a short time, but I am in dire need of advice.
My 16yo son is autistic. He always had perfect grades and school was always easy for him. But this year, he's reached his limits. He cannot motivate himself any longer. School is boring and pointless. He likes Maths, Sciences and Music a lot, but nothing else.
I fear he'll drop out if his case worsens... and I know first-hand the guilt dropping out inflicts...
