Many, many, many years ago, I found myself on Kangaroo Island, off the south coast of the state of South Australia, and saw a rainbow.
This was long, long before digital cameras became even slightly commonplace, so this is an old (low res) scan of a slightly blurry disposable film camera photo.
But it is still something I saw and remember.

We have a pet sitter who looks after our bunnies whenever we travel and when they heard about Chuck they put together some of their best photos of him and had a memorial photo book made and sent to us… such an amazingly sweet thing to do. We are very, very fortunate to have such good pet sitters.

Chuck's condition just really is not improving... he was eating really well at first, but he's less and less interested in food as each day goes by, and he just seems so tired all the time - and yeah, some of that's the medicine, but I can't help thinking that he's just exhausted in general.
I really fear that we may be in the end game for him, and I wasn't prepared for that to happen so quickly.

All snuggled into his litter box for the night - lots of fluffy soft paper bedding, fresh hay, a pad underneath for traction (in case he tries to move a bit), and a nice pile of greens for dinner. (We offer him water and pellets during the day.)
Since he can’t really move, we try to make him as comfortable as possible overnight.

Fellow bunny people... Please keep Chuck in your thoughts tonight and tomorrow... his condition has continued to degrade; he is basically immobile in his back half and cannot sit upright or move very much at all... and although he is going into the big vet hospital tomorrow for some therapy we really don't know how much good that's going to do.

So the vet thinks Chuck's problems are more likely neurological than physical - no signs of spinal injury or broken bones or anything like that. (This is not a surprise.)
For now we will continue Panacur treatment in case this is a flare up of his E.cuniculi, along with monitoring his blood work due to the side effects that can have. We'll maybe consider some anti-inflamatory (metacam) in a few days, depending on how he does.

Chuck had some poo-bum, so he got a little butt-bath tonight (just the tiniest bit of water in the sink and some very, very diluted and gentle soap) and I swear he seems to be doing a bit better just from that - sitting up while eating his dinner (and really eating, mind you - nothing wrong with his appetite!).
Maybe it was from my rubbing his legs or stretching his feet out to dry them... or just that he feels cleaner, but I'll take it!

Chuck gave me quite a scare this morning... so his mobility has been getting worse this week; his back legs are getting weaker, to the point where he doesn't really sit upright anymore, he always "sploots" and lies down rather than sit.
And this morning I heard him jump out of his litter box and went to check on him, and he'd fallen over and was lying, unmoving, on his back. I had to help him get upright (at which point he hopped away).

Also, it is going to be 66 degrees F out again today, which is unseasonably warm. Last week we flirted with 80 degrees. The overnight low has come close to freezing just once so far this season (and it hasn't come anywhere close to it again since that one time).
For context, in the past it was not unusual for it to have *snowed* by now.
