Yes there's a ridiculously complex tag filtering system in v4v music.
I came up with the magic playlist idea on a whim, not a lot of work has been put into it so I hope it's working well for you 🤞
You can even filter out feeds by hosts (There is one host that has a lot of shitty ai music)
I don't censor, it all about filtering (like nostr), well I do censor things that claim to be music but clearly not music. I tag them as spam. If you want you can uncheck the spam filter to see them.
As far as your splits failing. Many things can cause splits to fail some in my control some not.
I suspect that minibits does not support keysend (shame on minibits 🙂)
While my app does support lnAddress, it's primarily focused on keysend delivery (nearly rock solid with keysend)

v4vmusic isn't nostr per se but you can log in with nostr and connect your wallet via NWC 🙂
I haven't been able to figure out how to integrate nostr into v4vmusic in any meaningful way.

You could set up a webbhook in helipad for your node that would notify you via nostr when you get a boostagram.
That's what I do with my IRC bot.
Granted this is not easy mode, you'd need to have some web infrastructure in place, but if you did you could do all kinds of cool things like have a disco ball in your room light up when someone sends a boost of 7777 sats (or whatever) 🙂

Basically @npub14dp…pjvq and I have bots that post our boostagrams that come into our nodes into our respective irc chat rooms via webhooks from the amazing Helipad boostagram reader app (maintained by @npub1s96…yzak ++)
ChadF++'s bot listens for those messages and posts them on nostr.
Pretty niche but also pretty cool

I think v4vmusic has an issue with keeping the wallet connection alive making autoboosts fail. Usually a reload reconnects the wallet. Something I need to look into
You might want to pick @nprofile…85sc 's brain. He's been able to break free from alby on his blitz node using lnbits (I think)

According to my db at v4vmusic.com approx 95.5% of the music feeds support keysend only.
This will open up a vast opportunity for your wallet users to support their favorite artists.

NWC seems to be the way to go. It's been working great for me using albyhub as a proxy to my node.
If you can ever get the receiving part of keysend that would be great also. Alby has code for it in it's repo (somewhere)
Basically you use a customKey and customValue
The payments go to one node. The customKey and customValue tell you the node runner which "account" the payment belongs to.
I haven't tried it yet but I believe this is also how lnbits does it.
Receiving is a harder problem, so getting sending to work first makes the most sense.

Sadly I don't think there are any wallets that support keysend without email address.
Albyhub and Fountain are the only ones I know that currently work.
I believe you can self host a lightning node without an alby account but I'm not 100% sure also most people are afraid to run their own nodes (for some reason 🙁)
From what I understand coinos will allow sending but not receiving. I'm trying to get in contact with them to see if they can implement it.
It would be super cool to have more wallets support the only non censorable, truly peer to peer protocol that does not rely on 3rd parties such as DNS and supplies rich metadata to the receiver through TLV records. (see: https://github.com/Podcastindex-org/podcast-namespace/blob/main/docs/examples/value/value.md#tlv-records-and-extensions)
Primal would be an excellent candidate for keysend support.

When hosting with sunami.app I recommend you use a wallet that supports keysend, such as fountain or alby

That "someone" are the users of the app.
The carousels on the home page are listener driven. Read their titles, they're self explanatory.
Most Favorited songs/albums/playlists are surprisingly, the most favorited songs/albums/playlists by the listeners.
Similarly the top rated songs are the songs that are top rated by the listeners.
These are all listener driven. The idea is that as more users with differing tastes rate and favorite things then those carousels will have more interesting and better (hopefully) vontent.
User curated playlists are another way that this surfaces. You may notice that some users have a knack for picking great songs to listen to and may want to listen to their playlists. @npub1fxx…lknl is an excellent example of this.

IDK what a "nostr and contextual web-of-trust" even means or how nostr even comes in to play here.
Just because one can jam nostr into something, doesn't mean one should.
I just know that when people favorite like a playlist such as Astro_Penguin's then it comes into my view.
I listen to his playlist, I like it so I favorite it. Now it's saved under my favorites for me to listen to again.

I don't do guest podcasts but when we do the V4V Roundtable @nprofile…jwfy usually uses vdo ninja (I think)
I use a free, open source DAW for lightning thrashes, recorded episodes called Ardour and mixxx for live streams on my own icecast server.
I don't know if this will be helpful to you or not, but if you're ever super bored, I've put some videos together about how I do things.

Wavlake may not let you, I don't host with WL. They used to surface our music shows, but I don't know if they still do.

You may be interested in https://v4vmusic.com It's a music app that's solely dedicated to music released on RSS feeds by mostly independent artists. It has nearly 27,000 songs in it. Tons of good stuff (tons of garbage also 🙂)
You can even support the artist's directly with bitcoin (At the moment only the alby and coinos wallets work 🙁)
The site is a work in progress so if you have any issues with it, feedback is always welcome (and needed)

This is so awesome! You guys are even using the alternate enclosure tag with video.
In modern players that support alternate enclosure the listener should be able to switch between audio only and video.

This is a good thing and a bad thing.
Good because @nprofile…64l4 and @nprofile…t3mu are excellent stewards of this precious info.
Bad because we kind of have all our eggs in one basket.
The index is undergoing a rewrite of sorts now, and maybe folks like @nprofile…m9fd and others can build in some of the decentralization into the index that has been discussed in the boardroom.
At least maybe thinking about the decentralization problem as they are developing the index further.

Zaps use lnAddress which uses a DNS reliant server in the backend to create an invoice on your node's behalf. So invoice are still required for zaps, it's just that they are created for you on the backend.
lnAddress also limits the amount of characters to around 200.
Keysend on the other hand just sends sas directly from node to node with no middleman in between. Even works with Tor.
Also keysend supports the TLV record which gives crucial metadata about the boostagram including allowing for much larger messages.

This is because for the moment my app only supports keysend. Contact your wallet provider and ask them to support the only truly peer to peer lightning protocol that doesn't rely on censorable things like DNS
With that said my app will eventually support zaps as soon as an acceptable solution to the metadata "messages/boostagrams" is solved
For now the only wallet solution is alby, though I hear that coinos has finally implemented keysend support but I haven't tested it yet.

The site is back up and running. Apparently there was a vulnerability in next.js and I got hit.
Fortunately the db wasn't affected.
I was able to redeploy after much battle with the tech demons, but I seem to have prevailed and v4vmusic.com has risen from the ashes. (at least for now) 🙂
