C++ code is not a translation of requirements into a “language that the machine can understand”.
It is a clarification of the problem and its solution at a finer level of granularity that takes into account physical constraints (CPUs, sockets, cores, cache, memory, delays, jitter, contention).
It is clarity of thought.

C++ is a low time preference language.
Unlike Python or Javascript, it does not bring instant gratification, it is hard and you have to be patient.
However it is used in high time preference situations, precisely in low-latency environment (gaming / trading / fighter jets), where random delays are unacceptable.

I’ve been using the entry-level model from 21Energy for a year so I can compare.
Unlike 21Energy, the heatbit does not have a recycled S9 inside. Instead the chip was purpose-built.
This makes a bit difference in terms of efficiency. For a similar 400W consumption, the heatbit computes ~10TH/s vs only 4.6TH/s for 21Energy.

It’s interesting that it blends a mining chip with a simple coil. So you have the flexibility to crank-up the heat when it’s really cold.
My flat is well insulated so I dont need to do this. It stays in ‘eco’ mode where it only heats from the mining chip.
