If the strategy is to make votes contingent on a change in policy (such as support for genocide) and the candidate doesn't budge there is no real choice but to carry through and withhold votes. Voting for Harris would give the message that genocide is OK and remove any leverage in future elections. Besides, millions refused to vote for Harris. Voting for her would not change the outcome.

Both Trump and Harris were too terrible to vote for. Democrats supporting Harris only made it inevitable that Trump would win as she had no path to victory. The only potential way to stop Trump was if even more Democrats made it clear they would not vote for Harris. That's not rewriting the situation. There was considerable evidence that Harris could not win Michigan or Wisconsin, and would probably lose other states based upon her position re genocide. There was no reasonable path for her to win based upon just losing Michigan.
It is also tricky because while Trump might advocate more evil, centrist Democrats can be more successful in carrying out more evil as they don't have the same opposition that Trump does.

Two problems with that logic. You don't know how many each will kill. I voted for Biden because of the people Trump killed from Covid. Then Biden would up handling Covid even worse than Trump did, killing more people. That is before all the people he killed in Gaza and his proxy war in Ukraine.
