i'm interested in all things tech! mostly on the software/sysadmin side of things; i run this instance and therian.zone.

hi fedi!
me and my girlfriend (@npub10f3…fycv) have been working on a new fedi (mastodon api) client for both Android and iOS, inspired by how moshidon looked pre-rewrite.
the ultimate goal for this project is both a maintainable moshidon replacement (in kotlin with compose multiplatform) as well as a decent free iOS client for fedi, because the only decent ones right now are paid/subscription based.
the first alpha release for android has been published if you'd like to check it out! https://github.com/ihateblueb/snowdrop/releases/tag/0.0.1-alpha
note that the client is quite incomplete at the moment, so expect bugs and instability. we plan to make it available to iOS users fairly soon, but right now if you want to try it on an iPhone you need to build it yourself.

alright then. let's do this again. last time i posted about this pretty much everyone ignored it because i only provided one screenshot. that was also the first time posting something like this and i was really uncomfortable already since this was one of my *friends*. i understand that many of you are friends with nyx but you shouldn't just look past this post because you're friends and my previous post only had one screenshot in it. there is a mountain of evidence, please read the entire thread. there's screenshots and archives of everything.
nyx / everypizza (instance admin of sharkey.everypizza.im), is openly interacting with 7 pedophile instances (see screenshot #1), knowingly listing them as NSFW. none of these instances have been blocked (screenshot #2) despite nyx having said they were (screenshot #3) after my post yesterday.
that's just the instances marked as NSFW. there are two other instances still being federated with that are of note (screenshot #4):
- `social.zooey.cat` (a zoophile instance, this is openly mentioned in their instance description)
- `puppyspace.org` (a pedophile instance, a little more on this later) [ADDENDUM: the “little more” did not make it because of reasons mentioned later on]

the owner of the instance `sharkey.everypizza.im` (nyx, a minor) has been interacting with multiple accounts from `cutiepaws.org`, a known pedophile instance (screenshot below of one example.) 7 different accounts from that instance (at least before i fediblocked them) were interacted with by it. i suggest fediblocking that domain and all subdomains as it hosts other fedi software too.
