This morning in yoga, one thing that stood out to me in the balance poses was how we set our sights on something stationary to help steady ourselves.
It’s such a simple instruction, but it feels very applicable beyond yoga too.
When we’re going through a time where it feels like we’re balancing a lot — which is almost always true in life — focusing on something steady, something that isn’t changing or moving, can help us find steadiness too.
Also this morning, I got to help a yoga teacher accept Bitcoin for the first time.
I’ve taken her classes for almost two years now, and after class I told her I was going to ask a question she probably had never gotten before: that I’d love to support her teaching by donating in Bitcoin.

Have you read Dr. Beckers work?
From the 1960s - 1980s, Robert O Becker was studying nnEMFs as well. He used the term “bio electricity” and his lab was eventually defunded when he spoke out against Project Sanguine / Seafarer on 60 minutes. YouTube video linked below. Both of his books are great reads - The Body Electric (1985) & Cross Currents (1990).

From the airport to the island, it’s manageable for any who’s done even minimal travel. Not very difficult at all. I would recommend getting an uber to puerto Juarez. I just checked the app and it costs $500MXN or $27 USD from the airport to Puerto Juarez. Takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic. We booked private transportation before hand and it was more expensive and took longer. I saw that it was a good idea on Reddit. I do not recommend doing this.
There will be ferries leaving all day from the port. Book ferry ticket here: www.ultramarferry.com/en
There’s an option to book a ticket that is redeemable within 6 months of purchase date on the selected route. This is what we did so we had our tickets reserved but weren’t rushed to make a specific ferry time.

Yesterday at Isla Burger, I ordered a burger patty with guacamole 🥑🍔. I helped the waitress create the invoice—the total came out to 242 MXN 💵🇲🇽.
We typed 2-4-2 into the Bitcoin terminal ⌨️⚡.
I scanned the QR code 📱.
The payment went through ✅.
I grabbed my food and left 🚶‍♀️.
The next morning 🌅, we went to Isla Bistro 🍽️. When we asked to pay in bitcoin ⚡, the owner came over to help us. He mentioned we should check out his other restaurant—Isla Burger—and we told him we’d been there the day before and loved it 😍.
Then something clicked. 💡
He pulled up a chair at our table 🪑 and asked me to double-check the payment I’d made the day before. My stomach dropped 😬—I thought maybe the transaction hadn’t gone through.

The Health “Hack” No One Talks About
When I worked at a psychiatric hospital in the suburbs of Kansas City, one aspect of patient care left a lasting impression on me.
Part of treatment involved observing a patient’s personal environment. No one was forced to clean, and it was never framed as punishment or compliance. But we paid attention to their space.
Was the bed reasonably made?
Were clothes put away?
Was the bathroom kept in usable condition?
Was the bedside table free of old food, empty cups, or excess clutter?
These observations weren’t just about aesthetics. They functioned as clinical indicators.
A patient’s ability to maintain a basic level of cleanliness and organization was often considered when assessing readiness for discharge and independent living. It reflected executive functioning, cognitive clarity, emotional regulation, and capacity for day-to-day self-care.
In practice, the pattern was consistent. When someone was overwhelmed or acutely unwell, their environment often deteriorated alongside them. As they stabilized, their space tended to follow. The room came back online as the person did.
This wasn’t about perfection or rigid standards. It was about bandwidth.
My Relationship With Cleaning
That insight landed differently for me because my relationship with cleaning growing up wasn’t neutral.
I grew up in a household where cleaning often carried stress. Sometimes it was framed as punishment. Other times it was reactive—everything left until the last minute before guests arrived, resulting in panic, overwhelm, and feeling behind before we even started.
As an adult, I had to consciously unlearn the automatic anxiety I associated with cleaning and organizing. The root of cleaning anxiety connects to the broken fiat monetary system we find ourselves in as well.
Over the past several decades, the economic reality for families has changed significantly. Since the 1970s, the percentage of households requiring two full-time working parents has roughly doubled. This is where my family fell. Mom is a school teacher. Dad runs a small business. Growing up, my mom briefly worked as a stay at home mom before financial demands becoming unmanageable, forcing her back into the classroom. At the same time, inflation has steadily eroded purchasing power, leaving families with less margin—financially, mentally, and physically.
Many households weren’t disorganized because of lack of care. They were and are stretched thin.
When both parents are working, time becomes scarce. Energy becomes rationed. Tasks like cleaning shift from maintenance tasks to luxury tasks when time permits. Not because people don’t value order, but because they’re operating at capacity.
Environment as an Indicator
What I observed in clinical settings helped reframe this further.
The state of someone’s environment wasn’t treated as a character assessment. It was information. One data point among many indicating how much internal capacity someone had at that moment.
That same framing applies outside of hospitals.
A disorganized environment often reflects:
cognitive overload
nervous system strain
lack of time for recovery
prolonged stress without adequate support
Improving one’s environment can reduce background stress and make daily functioning easier. Sometimes internal stability leads to environmental order. Other times, small environmental changes help create the conditions for improved clarity and regulation.
A Practical Reframe
When we talk about improving health—through nutrition, movement, light exposure, or sleep—a tidy environment is rarely mentioned. Yet it quietly shapes how easy or difficult daily life feels.
The internal and external tend to move together. Paying attention to one can offer insight into the other.
It’s all connected.
So the next time you think about ways to “optimize” or improve your health, consider your environment.
What does its current state say about your life?
Is it organized or chaotic?
Disheveled or intentional?
Are there objects you’re holding onto that belong to a past version of yourself?
You may find that by tending to the external physical world you live in, you also begin to create more space, clarity, and calm within your internal world.

When I heard this on the podcast, I actually laughed. It’s a bit comical to picture today’s tech-addicted and soft-parented kids ever becoming a sort of Da Vinci level genius. Then a certain gravity struck me because there’s a painful grain of truth underneath this question.
Think about it:
Today’s kids are bathed in blue light, surrounded by non-native EMFs, sitting in front of screens for eight hours a day, being told exactly what to memorize and how to think… starting at five or six years old.
And if a child doesn’t comply with this system?
If they’re curious, energetic, imaginative, or simply don’t fit the mold?
They’re labeled.
“Disruptive.”
“Hyperactive.”
“Behavioral issue.”
And then the referrals start.
Teachers suggest evaluations.
Psychologists get involved.
Psychiatrists prescribe.
Suddenly Big Pharma enters the chat — and kids’ developing brains are being chemically altered with stimulants or other psychiatric medications. Parents go along with it because they trust the system. They assume the professionals would never do anything to harm their child. They assume this is normal.
But talk to enough adults and you’ll hear the same story over and over — a version of this exact pipeline. And when you zoom out, it really does look… dystopian.
Which brings me back to Walker’s quote:
How many brilliant, creative, passionate kids never reach their potential because the system wasn’t built for them to thrive — it was built to contain and indoctrinate them?
And what might the world look like if we stopped drugging and infiltrating the young brain with unnatural environments and started cultivating them instead?

What are the best Bitcoin-aligned charitable causes to support?
Every year my family does Secret Santa. We each draw one name, buy for one person, and avoid the chaos of everyone buying for everyone. Without some kind of boundary, a holiday meant to celebrate a King who poured Himself out for others quickly spirals into a morning of accumulating more stuff than any of us could possibly need.
At some point we noticed the pattern: after the third or fourth gift from different people, you almost go numb. It’s that weird catatonic moment where you’re smiling and saying “thank you,” but inside you’re thinking, I don’t actually need any of this… and where on earth am I going to put it?
Anyone else ever hit that point?
So this year, we’re shifting things. We’re intentionally pushing back against the consumerism that’s crept into Christmas and refocusing on what this season is actually about: bringing hope, loving the forgotten, and shining light into dark places.
We lowered our limit of what we’re spending on gifts and shifting that extra money into donating to the charity chosen by our Secret Santa.
I’d love to pick a Bitcoin-focused organization or a project dedicated to holistic, natural health literacy — something that genuinely empowers people in the long term.

Sometimes I forget how varied financial literacy is even amongst my own friends & family.
I was talking to my dad recently about how the inflation number the government puts out is a joke.
He was genuinely confused when he said, “How do they do that?”
He had no idea that the CPI is manipulated to hide inflation.
1. The CPI basket changes over time
If steak gets too expensive, the model assumes you’ll “substitute” with chicken.
So the government counts the price of chicken… not the fact that you can no longer afford steak. Not to mention that there is a pharma industrial complex for anti-meat lobbying.
2. They use “hedonic adjustments”
If a product is “better” than last year—like your phone—they adjust the price down in the index because you’re “getting more value.”
Even if you paid more dollars.
3. Housing is based on “Owners’ Equivalent Rent”
Instead of home prices, they ask homeowners: “What would your house rent for?”
This means housing inflation can be wildly understated—especially during bubbles.
4. Energy and food get downplayed
Core CPI removes them because they’re “volatile”… but they’re also the things people buy & use every single day.
Just to name a few.
Many people don’t realize that the headline inflation number is:
• a model,
• full of assumptions,
• adjusted by economists,
• and not designed to track real world affordability.
It’s not that the CPI is fake—it’s just designed for policy, not for your wallet.
And once you explain that, people suddenly understand why the official “3% inflation” never matches the lived reality of groceries, housing, insurance, and medical bills. So while the CPI is not “fake” it’s not exactly real either.

According to this article, there’s much more than that in the bitcoin loan market today and expected to grow to almost 60 billion by 2031. I don’t think it’s a good idea or aligned with the Bitcoin ethos but obviously lots of people disagree with me on that or see things differently.

You’re preaching to the choir my friend. I personally don’t think it’s a good idea or very aligned with the Bitcoin ethos. But there’s a lot of Bitcoiners out there who are doing it. Perhaps for people who want access to liquidity without having to sell their coins, it’s worth the risk. I’m sure lots of these people will get the best of both worlds (realizing some wealth of their coins without having to sell) without ever being margin called. It’s just an individual risk benefit analysis.
Some interesting data from chat gpt:
