He made the line go up. I would hope someone with the hardware/engineer background might push Apple to innovate, but realistically, why would they take the risk? No one is going to challenge the Apple ecosystem any time soon. For most users that can afford it, the Apple walled garden is pretty nice, relatively secure, and mostly privacy conscious.
