Last Notes npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse We need a Zapstore for browser extensions.@npub1wf4…dgh9 copy yourself and do it plz. Thnx. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Hot nostr take: In regards to nostr, things should be 'private enough'. Basically, the combo should be: Highest freedom, highest practicality (simplicity, ease of use, good moderation, etc), private enough. The more you want to increase the privacy benefit, the more you'll decrease the other two. If one can increase privacy without affecting the other two, or at least not much, go for it. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Depends, am i a target? x3 npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Aye, don't have hope for normal ICANN-DNS stuff, and that's why built a solution so stuff like that doesn't happen that's nostr+bitcoin. Currently overhauling it, to make it simpler, cleaner, more effecient, not buggy, etc, then will start hitting up browsers to add support to it. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse with that said, if anyone is planning to fork it / build a client using its spec, hold off, some core changes are potentially happening, a v2 to enhance it. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse How much you payin? x3 npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Potentially figured out a solution to den chat's biggest critism that satisfies my standard. Will experiment to verify said solution. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse (i thought i replied, i guess a hiccup happened, oh well, here it is again just in case): I think you reached the realized what I was trying to convey before, and yea that's why you should have one kind for one usecase that makes sense for that use case. What I'd recommend is to pick a new kind number for games, and keep 31142 for mods since that was its initial use case. Regarding what number, that's for you to decided, though a heads up: i put 31143 the kind for game/mod jams, and will basically use the kinds from 31140 to 31149 the game related purposes, so far only two was constructed for it, not sure what i'll use what for games, probably 31141 or 31140, and the rest will be related to other types for game use cases as well. However, you can of course continue using whatever kind number you desire, even if it is being used for other things, not advisable, but you can, as that's just the nature of nostr and nobody can stop you from doing it and others would just have to deal with it somehow. By the way, regarding getting two different types of posts from using one kind, you can do that, you just need to have a single-letter tag in the event to differentiate between what a mod is and what a game is or what something else is, where you'd be able to filter-query them based on the value of that single-letter tag. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse ok, seems like all went well with den chat release-release, now i'll just do fixes and improvements and new features every now and then, as i now put some time re-working DNN (cleaning it up from top to bottom, simplifying everything, making it clearer, and have a better node, better docs, etc. It's a good thing nobody used it aside from me for now xD), and once all of that done, it'd be ready for the bitcoin height 1mil (and hopefully by then things would settle about the state of bitcoin), then I'd confidently start hitting up browsers to implement it (alongside working on and releasing a lightweight forked browser that has its reference implementation for people to use in case no browser adds it for whatever reason). npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Sure, would appreciate it, not sure how though aside from basically using it and giving feedback as a user or bug reports, and if there's like a technical hurdle or design hurdle to talk about it, that's basically what I've been doing with the Vector peeps recently (mostly with yuurin), and hopefully I'd have a session with em to go through den chat to get those thoughts/feedback/ideas. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Aye, that audience, small but decent, was built by a lot of sleepless nights doing grunt-work marketing basically x3, for the project called DEG Mods (game mods published on nostr), and specifically targeting the gamer and weeb audience (more so on the gamer front), that's why i'm also building a steam/gog/itch alt on nostr. Regarding growing the ecosystem, yea that's why i'm focusing on these audiences, an audience that bring in a lot of activity wherever they go, and that's also why I added a social page that has kind 1 section (short-form posts), kind 30023 (long form), forums (the depricated one that i didn't see why it was depricated, it has a legit use-case, i think it's nip72, and a more freer version of it), public chat (basically chaos), and more, all so that it would increase activity throughout nostr. This mindset with those decisions/designs is also there on DEG Mods (and DEGA whenever it gets built/released). So hopefully these projects are doing that, or at least will do that. Would love to follow more people on here that are aligned with my entertainment interests and have more fun =3 npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Aye, it seems like den chat was released around a month prior to the announcement of the concord prototcol (and i noticed concord a month ago), and, and yea from what i looked into, it seems like we concord and nip-chat has basically the same north-star, but took different decisions to get there. Regarding convergance, i'm not sure (actually not sure), as it seems like the differences is on the privacy aspect (concord wins there. nip-chat just does simple encryption of the content and pretty much all metadata is public, that was a deliberate decision as i didn't want to add complications to the systems and honest about the metadata leaks), and the second difference is how someone is part of a group and scaleability (i think during my planning phase, i reached where concord was regarding encryption and secrets delivery, however, i was trying to push for massive scale if possible (millions, yet to be tested of course) and noticed that won't nessarily do well with what i reached at the time regarding normally sharing a secret each time it gets updated, and didn't want to do MLS as that's too heavy and complicated, but found out about LKH and it seems like that was the sweetspot to handle everything at scale). There are more differences, but those two seem like the biggest differences. Might have misunderstood things, totally possible. If convergance somehow happens, nice, but if not, i don't think there'd be a problem, nip-chat/denchat can be view as the general type of event-based chat protocol, where concord/armada can be viewed as the more private focused event-based chat protocol, and learn from each other the pros and cons as they happen. I'd imagine the options would be nip-chat-denchat (general) / concord-armada (private) / mls-marmoot (snowden). I'm using concord as well btw, on vector, chattin every now and then. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Released-released DEN Chat (meaning i posted about it on TwiX basically, so non-nostr bubble people are using it). 24+ hours and and so far so the building isn't burning =3 npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse It seems like there's more malware events happening over at Steam and others. I don't have a solution to this, probably no one does, however, Valve/Steam (as an example) is a security bottleneck and a single point of failure, that's why on my end, on DEGA, I planned out a system where it makes it so that there would be a decentralized marketplace of security audits and would be clearly visible for each and every build of a game, handled by both players and/or hired firms. Games/builds that don't have reviews would have a clear warning to all customers/users. "This game's latest build has been reviewed by multiple known digital security reviewers.
You can see who these reviewers are, and check out their report." [View reports] npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Would be useful, though I'm hoping someone else does it, though if such a time comes where relays are being censored left and right, and nobody is doing anything, and it's affecting my project, then i would have no choice and must figure something out. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Something something discord now has a kill switch to disable stream and video callls for brazilians. The time for den chat is nigh, gotta protec brazilian miku. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ge45R9qoW_Y npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse I think the conclusion in all of this is that definitions (what is bitcoin) have changed, and being clear on those definitions with what Bitcoin is will help things (in a bitter sense? sure, but better than being in a messy state). For example, considering what I know so far, from what bitcoin was at the start to how it evolved and what it is now, it's definition to me has changed from "A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System" to something like "A Managed Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash and File-Storage System". If something else comes along that gets developed in a way that retains the original definition as closely as possible, then it'll exist and people will use it. Will it be as popular? Probably not. Will it be as resiliant with its hashing power? Probably not. And many will think of it as a shame that is the case, and maybe because of that it will never be trully successful in terms of resisting attacks, but i'd imagine that the conclusion many will have there is "better than nothing, and we'll keep trying" all the while still making use of current Bitcoin for whatever their needs are, like any other crypto. Another thing what'll happen is that many will try to change bitcoin back to its original definition, but probably that won't happen because of short-term financial incentives/benefits. At least not until something bad happens where then most would start running to fix things. I guess we'll see what happens. On my end? I'm just one dude and sure i'll be a part of an attempt to restore bitcoin to its original definition, and if it works out great, if not then oh well, and i'll just see bitcoin in its now new definition, that's it, as well as use whatever new thing that pops up that holds that old definition if it becomes viable. In other words, like with Ethereum or other crypto, i will *utilize* current-bitcoin, and i will utilize and *support* old-defined-bitcoin, whatever it may be. I think that's a good approach in the current state of things. To persue ideals but not to reject reality. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Here's Nostr Bitcoin MultiSig (NBMS) demo: https://files.catbox.moe/k5ig79.mp4 If you're wondering how the NBMS works: 1. Select the participants, ECDH with each, gets sorted, add a domain seperator (spec definied), and an index (potential future use to have more wallet constructions for the same people, from the same initiator/creator), all of that gets hashed and we get a result. 2. That hash is used as an input to created a keypair, let's call it the group npub 3. An invite, via nip17 dm, is sent to the participants, that contains the group npub and the hash 4. Each accepts which sends a accept-message to that npub 5. The app then generates a new hash from their nsec, the group hash as salt, and domain seperator, which would then be used to derive a 24 seed word, and grabs the xpub from it and shares that to the group. This is done for each member 6. Assuming all had their group-specific xpubs shared, multiple multisig wallets are created (if it was 3 people total, then a 1-of-3, 2-of-3, 3-of-3 are created) 7. Start receiving and sending from these wallets in these nice UX flows in chat (speaking of chat, they are self-DMs, meaning the group npub has itself as the author and recepient, with the kind 14 inside it being from actual sender. Con: any participant can delete those messages. Counter: each send to the group also sends a copy to oneself, specifically a self-send to another derived keypair based on a participant's nsec+groupHash, and a check+restore process happens in case of misconduct) Side note 1: The idea to 'simplify' bitcoin multisig came about out of frustration between myself, a person-a, and person-b, as we were conducting transactions. Not sure who thought what first but basically we all thought 'this should be waaay easier than it is right now and nobody is doing it, and probably nostr would help make that a reality'. However, funnily enough, niether person-b (well, yet to be seen) nor I did this in a way where it's for bitcoiners in a sense of adding whatever xpub you want under your npub, and we basically wen't with our own different directions that is not user-decision first / bitcoin first, where I went with a heavy nostr-first approach rather than just having it as a transport, and the other person... well i can't disclose their direction. I had the option to import an xpub, but decided to remove it. If anyone feels like doing this how bitcoiners expect it, but with all the nice UX flows as seen in the video, you can chat it up with me (and if so worth reading the second note below). Side note 2: I'll have this in the next denos update, but also locked away like the rest, and all of which will now also have a 'enter password to toggle on' which will most likely be just 'denos'. I decided I don't, or rather can't, put enough time and effort to maintain all of these systems (ecash, nostr bitcoin multisig, nostr silent payments) properly, so that's why the password thing (maybe even later to completely remove all of them outright... maybe). Basically I'm sunsetting these things on DENOS. Too much on my plate to worry about maintaining all of these things. If someone else down the line is interested in doing any of these, I'm happy to consult. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Don't know why it's still being done that way. Should've been event-based, anyone submits whatever, currated by a default npub and an obvious option to to add more npubs to the curation, shown recommendations by others that you follow (web of trust, etc), and a 'dangerous' button/filter to see all posts. but eh. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Btw, "don't trust, verify" is now practically possible for the average person to actually do because of AI. Yes not all AI or prompt and person will get a proper thorough review, one might see a vulnurability and one might not, but hey, everyone can do this now and better than before when the answer was "i didn't verify". npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Two brazilian wolps walk into a bar... (what happens next?) npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse I think i watched the first few episodes of the new season. Need to watch it fully. At this point, if news comes out "futurama is canceled" my head goes "ya sure, see you in a few years" x3 npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Do not help the sheep remove their shackles, take advantage of them to help those who are trying to remove their shackles and those who are already free. Change your mental to this, and you'll have a higher chance of success, and the right people getting the full benefits. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse I feel like Wolp Corporate doesn't have a clean closet regarding this... just a hunch. Does... Corporina was it? Does she have any public statement to say about this? x3 npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse I'm using BitBox02, i like it, and they made a post about this new as well:#nevent1q…5pa5 npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse >Start recording a demo video for product for public-public announcement >Throughout the demo, notice 10 issues that needs fixing GAH! xD npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Kung Pow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxXjsQbCZR8 npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Dang... is the wolps corp hiring by any chance? jokes aside, hope you find a better job npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Broke hub fetching again in den chat (on the side where your hubs appear) but then fixed it, all the while made them load much faster =3 npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Yea if you want to have everything in one event then yea that'd be the way to go, though i'd imagine if you do want to go that route, it'll probably be difficult for your client to do a clean seperation of types when you query relays, since the tag isn't a single-letter tag but a full word, meaning if you have a page called /games, then the client will fetch games and mods alike and the client will have to locally filter between games and mods to just show games (same on the /mods side) npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Yea the event for games will be very close to the event for mods, where the event for games will have a more tags/metadata than mods. On my end I'll keep the title and i think i won't have a one-letter tag for a game's name in the event, as it won't be helpful in querying a relay unless the user does an exact match of a game's name. Regarding games being referenced by a mod or a mod being referenced by a game, the a tag would be used for referencing, potentially with a second value in it to indicate that it's a game or a mod. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse I kind of want to, later, build a 'playground' or 'sandbox' or 'tools' site, where it'll basically have all the things i want to build/prototype but not make them a full project, at least not anytime soon, just to get it out of my system, and also gauge people's interest in these things to later determin if they're worth pursuing or not. One of these ideas is something i did in the past which is a social consumer discount calculator, where people would put weights on elements that a game has, positive or negative, and then see if a game has it or not, then at the end it would say at what price you should buy the game at. (For example: Has Denuvo DRM? that's -1 (times the weight), has appealing character designs? that's +1, and so on, and then at the end it may tell you to get it at full price, or at -%20 for example, or +30% who knows maybe it's that good, or -%200 as in it's so bad that they should be paying you to play it. People share their weights and their results and it gets an average of the a price one should get it at + informative to the customer) npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse "Thanks! Didn't make it with that in mind i think, but will be looked into. Question is, how custom should or can it be x3 npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse ugh... i'm being lazy, den chat is basically done, i just need to adjust the emoji/sticker/giff stuff and make it slightly better maybe, and that's about it dev wise. "What do you mean she's ugly? she looks fine! have you seen her real-life model?" the standards of fiction is not the same (it's much higher) as the standards of reality. "The gameplay looks awesome! why are people complaining?" Sure, and yet they don't want the game, so you're right to ask that question. "So what if you don't play as kratos, it's a spinoff game" A spinoff game that nobody expected nor desired, and of a character that's short in a few brief dialogues in the 2018 game, and shown in a few scenes in the next game after that just talking with kratos. People expect a spinoff game of something if they wanted it, so they see Laufey and went "who?" "oh.. kratos' wife.. wtf why? why can't i play as kratos?" "Laufey was mention in the previosu games as sometime that equalled kratos! she's badass!" And yet players have never experienced or seen that in those previous games. For example, The Last of Us, the whole game you were playing as Joel alongside Ellie, and in parts you play as Ellie. In the sequel, people were expecting to play as Joel or Ellie, heck many would've been happy to play as Ellie even, but the bad about that game is that you play as a character you hated, and they developed the character of Ellie in a way that leaves a bad taste in your mouth, and just the story execution was horrible, but people weren't pissed that they might've played as Ellie instead because it was heavily built up and experienced in the previous game. The same holds true for the next Witcher game, where you play as Ciri, people want to play as Ciri even, because of the whole point of the main story in W3 revolved around her, and then you journeyed with her later, and then even played as her. The issue people have with the new witcher game is that for one it's not a spinnof and two they're taking a nonsenseical approach turning her into a 'witcher' and fans are on edge to see if the devs will have executed and the story/game well or not and see if they had ruined things or not. Had the developers made another normal god of war game but with similar build up like in the witcher 3 and the last of us, at least just one game where that strategy is applied, and have done it well, people might have even wanted to play as Laufey in a full game just for her. The developers just went "SURPRISE!" with a character out of left-field and expect fans to just immediately love it. That ain't happenin. And this communicates to fans that the devs don't give a shit about what the fans want, so for the fans that have some dignity as a fan, they'd sit and wait, to not buy it on launch and just see how things play out for it. Who knows, it might be great, but first impressions show that it might not be the case. Anyways, looking forward to Stellar Blade: Bloodrain =3 #gaming npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse And here's me planning to bring back physical on PC sometime between now and 15 years later through DEGA xD npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse I'M STILL PISSED AT THIS! This makes it where in-person address generation and sending totally safe, and remote address generation and sending having a recovery flow, under the assumption that the sender also doesn't want their money to go to waste and checks every now and then to make sure the recepient received the money. The only scenario now in which a remote sender recovery fails is if the notification system fails + the sender dies or the sender used a throwaway npub. I also option to make sending to an evm based address static per sender, meaning the recepient will also receive funds from npub1 to the same address they generate, same with the in-person generating (to reduce fee management hell), but, there'd be an option to change it to a new deterministic address in case of address blacklisting. I was thiiiis close to use passkeys, but thankfully didn't. I just seperated the storage keys/seeds from the main domain's storage on the phone to a different one (main is web.den, the secondary one is vault.den) meaning if there's a supply chain attack on main then secondary won't be affected. Basically this is close to the security of nostr browser extensions from what I gathered. still not done, since did some decent refactoring with the login flow so still testing it, but assuming all goes well, mobile users will have a nice time. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse hell no, thankfully they updated the nip to not use kind 1 anymore for this reddit style forum posting, that's why i didn't stick posting on forums when it was introduced, as that annoyed the hell out of me. It's using kind 34550 for the community, and kind 1111 (comment type that acts both as a post and a comment, comments use the same kind but structured differently to avoid having them appear as posts). You can read up on it if you want here: https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/blob/master/72.md And for the open community type, the "community" isn't a kind but rather just a word (like "gaming") and posts within it are the same kind 1111 but pointing at the word (t tag if i remember) rather than an address with kind 34550. This is basically a custom new approach that no client has done yet (at least as far as i'm aware. I wanted this because i didn't want to hop between two different "gaming" forums, but rather just go to THE "gaming" forum, but i also have the option to go to "gaming"-"by smeef" if i want. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse oh btw added forum posting in den chat, reddit style, and two types of communities: open, moderated moderated is basically NIP-72 (and not sure why it's marked as unrecommended and recommends NIP-29, two completely different use-cases). open is basically making posts under a word rather than a created space/address. There's no moderation here aside from your own. there can be multiple c/gaming (and in reality it'd be c/longAssAddress), but there can only be one w/gaming and nobody controls it. If you're on web version, test it out. Not sure I'm happy with the design. Build release will come out later. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Mainly there for two reasons: - Help bring back logic - Help me and avoid headaches in a comical way "have your read the terms of use?" xD npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Considering logic is a rare things these days, i felt inclined to add these terms in the terms of use in den chat https://image.nostr.build/3d67e5c13cb43061bb0d6202e69dc4fe0fe01599db2380554d2a37443a01fc42.jpg https://image.nostr.build/16b11c4808be5f4ecf2f8d6c64b650fb0290a8f10963da0337bd190c35b2948b.jpg https://image.nostr.build/4074b799683dc7ef947c555cf40281f6fa6a4c95c69f97ae489176b255257c69.jpg npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Someone also wants it to work on mobile. PWA was basically step 1. Logging in UX with nostrconnect:// or bunker:// is... not good, plus it doesn't help that the subscription to relays dies the moment it goes into the background. I want to see if I can add support for nip-55 so that something like Amber appears and hopefully works. Aside from that, and while I don't like it, I might add support for the ability to import your seed or nsec but encrypted with a pin and stays in browser storage... ugh... maybe not... still thinking... improvements to come npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse attatching files/images in the social page in den chat is busted, so don't use it at the moment. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse hm? what brought this on? is there an issue with the current way? or just a sort of logical thinking? npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Let's goooo! xD npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Me: Ok, time to take a small break Also me: Alright time to rebuild deg mods as I continue deving den chat and slap a new feature in denos me talking to me: Rest motherfucker xD npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Hm... maybe i should add a zoom function xD npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse DEN Chat v0.2.2 build is up. Patch notes: https://image.nostr.build/5b9739ebe94326083344d917b62e335a4794eb5986e234b1bec1c51330ea56cf.png npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse An update to DEN Chat, which is now up on web and soon for desktop builds in the next release http://denchat.top/ npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Got an idea to improve Nostr Silent Payments (NSP) to make it less... catastrophic, but it would leak only to the receiver that you're the sender (so instead of it being optional, it would be deterministically known), but the benefit is that in case the receiver didn't get notified of the funds, events got deleted, etc, and there being no way to recover, there'd now be a way to do so. The improvement is that NSP **should** only be used by other nostr users / used keys only, and so what would happen is that a address is generated based on the input of an ECDH result from the sender's private key and receiver's public key + ordering 0 and up with each discovered history in an address. What does this mean? 1. Alice with her npub generates an NSP Bitcoin address from Bob's npub, sends money to it, notifies him, and that's it. 2. Bob didn't get the notification for some reason, and Alice already closed everything (her app, and cleared her cache too, so everything is clean and supposedly unrecoverable). 3. Alice would then grab Bob's npub and generate the same address again from the first step, and resends the notification or just tells him that she sent him a transaction. 4. Bob now gets the notification and retrieves/spends the funds. 5. Let's assume Bob still didn't get the notification, but what he can do after known that Alice sent him money, or suspects it, he can just take Alice's npub and see if he received funds to any of his bitcoin addresses that Alice could have sent to, and he sees there are funds in one of them so he can now spend it. The recovery is deterministic now instead of random tweaks, but yea the "downside" is that if if either of them get compromised then the history is known between each other. The same kind of risk associate with DMs on nostr basically if keys leak, but hey, better than lost funds eh? / having a higher chance of recovery. I'd say the benefits outweigh the cons by a decent margin. npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse =3 https://blossom.primal.net/3e8b15e74e145b4c70e391146d790f86eaba69eb030453d6d4b2c19ace187835.png npub18n4ysp43ux5c98fs6h9c57qpr4p8r3j8f6e32v0vj8egzy878aqqyzzk9r Freakoverse Yes, eventually something like this will happen, a marketplace of service/hosting providers and a way to pay for it (bitcoin, crypto, or fiat), and after payment they'd receive setup details (all handeled automatically in the background, but viewable). Btw, just in case i'll mention it, voice chat system is already functional in den chat, with two options: centralized with cloudflare (make an account, input a credit card to prove your real, and you get SFU and TURN credentials to use for voice chat with a bandwidth of 10 GB per month fore free), and self-host option with LiveKit (if you have a server you can host a LiveKit on it, grab the required details, and host run it. Voice and video/stream is also encrypted (unless i screwed up but don't think so) so host doesn't hear or see anything. LiveKit option works on web at the moment and soon on the latest build release (soon btw)
