Some days I don’t understand why the world doesn’t stop.
It’s July 2025 and some days I can’t comprehend how the world keeps moving when the daily horrors we’re surrounded by are so heavy, so inescapable. I want to scream; I am scared, overwhelmed, furious, and exhausted. If I stop for a second and take a breath to centre myself, I hear a ringing in my ears.

Yeah. Like, I do not think the law is a good law, but I also know I approach porn differently from like 90ish% of people because I actively pay for porn, and don't necessarily see it as something that should be free or as accessible as big tube sites have made it? Like, I know GOTN isn't setting up Age Verification on her site (totally valid) but like, I've sent her my address for a Christmas card in the past – I probably would be willing to go through Age Verification on her site!

My instinct is that as much as I think the law is authoritarian nonsense, there are queer porn sites who I've already given my debit card details to in the past to pay for porn, and if needed I probably would undergo other age verification checks to continue to access. My worry is far more that the more niche, independent, ethical porn sites I subscribe to will not have the resources to put age verification methods in place and will instead just block all UK users.
