This was a peice of walnut that I had practiced doing some patches on. It's been sitting in my shop for a long time. I'm still not sure I love the top peice, I'm a fan of the bottom. Got a customer who used to make them in his garage but aged out of being able to do the labor. He still wanted to sell them so he found me. I'm not sure how many a year I'll end up doing, but the big one was fun. He's told me that he's been approached in the past about even bigger ones but couldn't do it himself. I'm hoping that he lands a super jumbo sized one so I can try my hand at that. This was the solution. I made a series of vacuum pods with an adjustment screw to hold the peices together and powered them with a venturi pump.
