I have vaguely wondered this before.
Odo talked about how he sensed Dr Mora's presence before he learned to change shape.
And surely he can see (or at least hear) when he is disguised as objects, like a panel on the wall! (Or what would be the point?)
So if goo can see, why not from everywhere? Can Odo see with his hands? Or his back? 🤣

Then I clicked on a bunch of episodes, and searched each page for

But speaking of *the floor thing*, have any of you watched the sitcom "Ghosts"? (I watch the american version by CBS.)
It is the most adorable show, and I love it to bits!💖 The characters are just so lovable, the stories are cute, and they actually discuss some of these common sci-fi tropes!
Like, they have very specific rules for how the world works. Even if the characters don't know why! And they did an entire plot based on *floor*!🤣

Although I wondered something else. Since *out of phase* was already covered in Trek, (With Geordi and Ro) we know what that looks like. And it means being invisible, not just passing through solid matter. 🤔
Is that because of different frequencies or tech?
(Come to think of it, SG-1 had it work both ways too, depending on different tech! 😂)

Well, the only reason San knew to use it in the first place was because Fuzz informed him of the plan. So Fuzz probably had a discrete look at the device (or made a scan of it), so San could make sure his was identical. (That's my headcanon anyway!😹)

Honestly, not my favorite episode of season one. Probably because it goes a bit darker than is usual for the series.
But it makes some hard hitting points. Our teams are going out there, trying to stop aliens with big egos, who are exploiting people by pretending (or believing) they are gods.
But this episode is a reminder that humans are just as capable of going down that same dark path.😯
We have to be careful who we put in power... ... ... 👀

There was a ... hallucination, involving sea life, LOL. And they gave the lead policeman a makeover as a pirate! 😅
They could have gone with a generic pirate look, but instead they went full Jack Sparrow! 😆 I laughed so hard!!! 😂🤣
