ROI matters. A while ago I did run the numbers just for fun using the 1.2 TH/s of the Gamma.
* Pool mining = 7-14 years to ROI
(Big gap because if you can run it for free you'll break even sooner)
* Solo mining = Average time to find one block: ~15,000 years of continuous mining or a TON of luck.
In retrospect, back in the days an S5 would break even in less than 12 months with ~1.8 TH/s 🤣

I recently used the ZS main server as a backup after Streamstr encountered some issues. I got disconnected after a few seconds and was then unable to reconnect. Not sure why or how. Have you tried the Streamstr backend yet? Let me know if that works for you.
