Last Notes npub1e59qr32sek4vpnarv2nnuv6nr22jyekutmjlwtd3hd3szm75fm3qs0rysa Ojocle Olonam is this an issue in @npub1kwa…e0nj too or was it fixed there? npub1e59qr32sek4vpnarv2nnuv6nr22jyekutmjlwtd3hd3szm75fm3qs0rysa Ojocle Olonam oh! That is surprising to read! When you say those apps are "google" apps, do you mean they are from Android Open Source project? By default there is no google play services or anything that needs or call google. Could you please clarify? People looking for information about @npub1kwa…e0nj will find this and some might be conclude this is a Google dependent OS. npub1e59qr32sek4vpnarv2nnuv6nr22jyekutmjlwtd3hd3szm75fm3qs0rysa Ojocle Olonam control background is possible as per user settings. It is true it is all or nothing. Ultimately controlling individual apps could be done via permission https://files.mastodon.social/media_attachments/files/114/146/557/921/277/916/original/763add906655b6ed.png npub1e59qr32sek4vpnarv2nnuv6nr22jyekutmjlwtd3hd3szm75fm3qs0rysa Ojocle Olonam maybe I'm asking an ignorant question but won't users in @npub1kwa…e0nj offer enough isolation? I was under the impression that the so called «work profile» is the same as a user. In fact I'm using users to separate different realms in my phone under the impression of such isolation. Just checking if my assumptions are correct here. npub1e59qr32sek4vpnarv2nnuv6nr22jyekutmjlwtd3hd3szm75fm3qs0rysa Ojocle Olonam @npub1kwa…e0nj and #GrapheneOS community: is there any way you'd recommend to share location live with another Grapheneos phone? Google maps is not working and I'm glad it won't. npub1e59qr32sek4vpnarv2nnuv6nr22jyekutmjlwtd3hd3szm75fm3qs0rysa Ojocle Olonam farming would be great! npub1e59qr32sek4vpnarv2nnuv6nr22jyekutmjlwtd3hd3szm75fm3qs0rysa Ojocle Olonam Zen and brave at least, now offer a way to «unload» the tabs after some time, so you get them there for when you need them yet they won't eat your RAM. npub1e59qr32sek4vpnarv2nnuv6nr22jyekutmjlwtd3hd3szm75fm3qs0rysa Ojocle Olonam yes I am. There is a setting for that. npub1e59qr32sek4vpnarv2nnuv6nr22jyekutmjlwtd3hd3szm75fm3qs0rysa Ojocle Olonam l am with Typewise now. Very interesting experience so far. Accuracy is superb and multi language completion is very hice to have. npub1e59qr32sek4vpnarv2nnuv6nr22jyekutmjlwtd3hd3szm75fm3qs0rysa Ojocle Olonam nope npub1e59qr32sek4vpnarv2nnuv6nr22jyekutmjlwtd3hd3szm75fm3qs0rysa Ojocle Olonam 1998 npub1e59qr32sek4vpnarv2nnuv6nr22jyekutmjlwtd3hd3szm75fm3qs0rysa Ojocle Olonam Myself being a long time Linux user couldn’t implement Linux at corporate level. There is too much fragmentation, way too many things to do things, main stream app support or port is lacking although there are alternatives but users previous experience is heavily weight to carry on. I never could find a suitable MDM, EDR, seamless SSO logging experience. Canonical or RedHat don’t have it and I talked to both several times. Hardware support for common laptops brands is still an issue.
