Could someone more knowledgeable explain why Non-resident passkeys need to have a username to make them work? Like, why can't the credential itself be it's own identifying factor if it's being generated deterministically anyway?

as an update, we think it's pyometra. all the vets around here are excessively expensive so we haven't checked for certain. Even if we did check, the treatment for pyometra would be way way way outside any reasonable budget anyway (we got quoted 6,000 the last time one of "our" strays got pyometra)

i have this really weird dilemma where like, i always want to help people out by lending my unused capacity for free
but im starting to realize i really should stop doing that
as much as it feels wasteful to have servers unutilized, and as selfish as it feels to not help friends, i feel like the time and effort involved is going to cascade catastrophically if i just. keep doing it, for free at least.

Almost forgot about the speaker-mic (designated **RSM-4**) it came with. Unfortunately, it was working Very badly when I tested, I peeled back the connector to find that the wires inside have frayed and broken from the connector... Which is going to make getting a pinout of this thing exceedingly difficult now.
On the other side, Look at this connector! It reminds me of GX12 but I have never seen anything quite like it before, They keying pattern is rather bespoke.

Bought this beautiful piece of history for 15$ today. Still works! Ni-Cad battery is shot so I will be repacking it with some Li-Po's eventually. Google thinks this thing doesn't exist, so, internet, meet: the **Canadian Marconi Company VHF Transceiver Model DP2071**
Someone already programmed it for a variety of ham frequencies but its mostly repeaters that appear to be long dead as they don't show up on repeaterbook at all. At least I have 146.520 though.
I have no idea how to reprogram this thing either. If anyone has any clues please hit me up.

AFAIK this is just scaremail. I've seen no evidence or IOCs floating around, just this message spreading across discord with varying levels of accuracy.
Unverified, but I've seen a screenshot of the "originator" saying they were just mistaken and that people spread their screenshot way farther than they had intended.
