My approach to primaries is two-fold:
1. Put as many progressive candidates on the ballot for the General Election in November as possible
2. Scare the living shit out of centrist Democratic candidates so they adopt progressive policies that will resonate with disenfranchised people who don't see the need to voting for feckless Democrats

He’s 27 years old. Lives and works in Rockey Point (Puerto Peñasco). Visiting his family for the holidays. Like he does every year.
No criminal record. None.
Nabbed during a “routine” traffic stop for “obstructed tags.” He wasn’t driving. Just a passenger. The vehicle was a work truck, so the cops called ICE on the suspicion he was working. He was not. And, again, valid and current travel visa.
And now they’re just fucking with him. And us.

I’m standing outside the ICE Field Office in Phoenix with a friend waiting for her family member—who is here on a valid tourist visa—to be released from the gulag.
This is the same location I’m out in front of every Thursday, protesting against the American Gestapo using this 24-hr holding facility to inhumanly hold people for a week or more.

We would be, in essence, curating a playlist of select episodes of a show. Nothing odd about that from a streaming platform perspective (read: Spotify). Happens all the time. Artists still get (poorly) paid when the track plays.

My hat is off to you fellas. I struggle keeping a directory of 1,600 shows properly updated.
I’m seriously (?) considering making custom “static” RSS feeds (that calls the media files at the hosting provider) that have all the correct tagging (for binge-ready fiction podcasts), and just the episodes of a the finale’d seasons. That has its own challenges, of course. But I don’t need to pull new episodes or try to keep the feeds in sync.

Mad props to KTAU in #Portland for setting up a live camera running 24 hours a day outside of the ICE/Gestapo field office where DHS Secretary and dog-killer Kristi Noem recently visited.
I just scrubbed thru the overnight footage, which was boring as hell because there isn’t anything resembling dangerous riots taking place.

I made the news today, oh boy.
#SkyNews AU—think Fox News, but with more clueless hosts—interviewed me on Tuesday. Shockingly, nothing I said was taken out of context. Though #RitaPanahi, of course, didn't play the correct clip from ‘24 when CK said “If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified” on his podcast.
Oh, and at 8 years old, she was accepted by the Aussie government as a refugee. Nice. Pull the ladder up behind you, I guess?

My wife, along with her entire team of talented, well-trained (by her) instructional designers, was laid off from the private, for-profit university she's worked for since 2018.
I'm self-employed, so we've been reliant on her employer-provided healthcare. That goes away at the end of the month, because the entire US healthcare system sucks balls.

One of my favorite things about podcasting is that the word itself says nothing about the content. It simply defines—tho things get fuzzy on the edges but we’re not discussing that right now—the delivery mechanism.
Articles like that be damned. Homogenizing podcasting is a fool’s errand. So is chasing trends in what works best as a niche medium.

A serial troller set up a profile on my instance. It requires review, but he was smart enough to make it look almost like he was legit.
He wasn’t.
He posted a slew of ramblings which were more incoherent than anything terribly inflammatory.
Within an hour, four people from four different instances reported the account to me, and I immediately suspended it.
I know others have issues with Mastodon moderation, but it sure worked perfectly today. Thanks!
