Always run in sandboxes. LLMs without any backdoor tools invocations always are notorious in screwing things up like leaking private keys/deleting data.
And we are working towards mitigating man in the middle attacks. It's an interesting problem.

Routstr is an open source protocol with a few contributors.
There's a concept of web of trust in Nostr where we follow people we trust, to some extent. Routstr nodes are people that are in our web of trust. I do not know them personally, nor do I know where they live.
"Some random anon", sir, you are a random anon yourself. We are all random anons. Satoshi was a random anon. But you trust the code. You understand the trust assumptions. We've never told anyone that you get full privacy on Routstr nodes, nor have we conveyed to our web of trust that you get 100% security on Routstr nodes (yet).
You're out here insinuating that others should be wary of "stolen credits" being sold on Routstr nodes. Suggesting that that's why there's a massive discount. You came here with an accusation, not me. "Way too much defensiveness". Haha, why shouldn't I be defending a routstr node that is simply doing a great deed for the ecosystem?
As I've pointed out, some random anon is literally proxying PPQ.ai and selling at a massive discount. Because they can. Because they probably don't need to answer to a VC fund that requires them to corner the market. Or maybe this random anon is Satoshi himself and wants to help the new bitcoiners. I don't know. :)

We're working on solving this problem as well. It could be possible to prove that there was no prompt injection/tampering in the middle up to the source. So Routstr nodes cannot screw with user's systems/steal anything.
Also, PPQ.ai, OpenRouter, Anthropic, all of these in the pipeline is probably spying on you and are vulnerable to the exact same attack vector. If it's not running locally, you should assume that it's not 100% secure is being spied on and have your agents run in sandboxes.

Routstr nodes that are offering 50% lower prices are here for ideological reasons. Someone who's struggling in a third world country, unbanked or with a shitty credit card (most non-western credit cards don't work internationally btw) can use AI via Routstr nodes and pay with Bitcoin.
We do not promote stolen credits! Most routstr nodes that are live have been here for months. You cannot sell stolen credits for months. Plus if we find out that someone is selling stolen credits, we'll strongly recommend all our users to stop using such nodes.

People could genuinely be offering discounts for the benefit of the Nostr/Routstr ecosystem. We literally zap 100s of dollars everyday for free.

Yes! Nostr is that reputation system. Providers have complete freedom here. They can set any prices. Right now our prices are 50% lower than normal API costs. Guess it's Bitcoiners offer cheap prices to Bitcoiners via competition ahah. We have 3 nodes undercutting each other every day :).

PPQ is a centralized service offering AI models you can use on a pay per request basis.
But Routstr is a decentralized AI protocol that lets anyone run a node to sell any AI inference (from OpenAI or open source self hosted) for Bitcoin on a pay per request basis as well. Built on Cashu and Nostr. No accounts, no credit cards.
We have no central point of failure. If one Routstr node is having issues, the client automatically connects to the next one. You discover nodes via Nostr as well.

OpenCode dollar amount integration in the TUI requires a custom plugin. That’s something we can add a bit later. But you’ll get usage stats very soon.
As things are moving at lightning speed, it might not make sense to put in the effort of integrating ourselves into every agent framework.
Soon you might not be looking at the TUI at all. Thats why we’re thinking about generic per session costs for all kinds of agents.

It has been incredibly difficult to build a simple plugin for OpenClaw
The codebase is insanely complex. I’ve never worked with such massive code bases.
All I’m trying to do is send a telegram message from a plugin without the user prompting it (to notify on low Routstr balance).
Maybe coding isn’t for me. 😭
Anyone tried building an openclaw plugin?
