Mainly, I was talking about having debts denominated in Bitcoin (a standard of deferred payment) as being one of the four necessary properties of money.

I can't really comprehend Canada as an entity anymore, except for things like taxes, social services, etc. The population at large seems to regularly fall into collective psychosis, lockdowns, vax mandates, pushing for the Russo-Ukrainian War, the US tarrif war, getting mad at people for owning Teslas, the whole "at least we have free healthcare" cope. Whatever Canada is I can't really relate to any of it or find much value in talking about it. Our demographics are so changed that Canadians don't really exist anymore anyways.
But I can relate to people in my community, at the library, work, clubs. I can have kids and relate to them, grow my own food (whether on my own land or community gardens) volunteer at my son's school and interact with his teachers directly, who are a lot more flexible than some monolithic Canadian institution. I'm sure if I was trying to start a business it'd be different. But Canada is dysfunctional enough that it's not an oppressive monolith, and has a lot of loopholes if you get to know the various people that make up your bureaucracy.
