Obsidian 1.11.7 is now available to everyone for desktop and mobile.
This update introduces three new options to customize mobile interface. Find them in Settings → Appearance on mobile.
- Full screen: automatically hide interface elements while reading.
- Floating navigation: choose between floating buttons or anchored style.
- Sliding sidebars: choose between sidebars slide to the side or floating above.

Obsidian 1.10 is now available! The mobile app now launches A LOT faster.
We've also made many improvements to Bases:
- New List view to display entries as bulleted or numbered lists.
- New Map view to visualize entries on a map. Install it from the Community plugins directory.
- Initial Bases API lets you create your own views.
- You can now group entries in a base by a given property.
- You can now summarize columns in table view.
- Added keyboard navigation and shortcuts to table view.

Obsidian has completed a second independent audit by the security firm @npub1ll3…5q4k.
The report finds that incremental updates since Obsidian 1.5.3 maintained the highest degree of attention to security, and that no new vulnerabilities were introduced.

Obsidian 1.7.7 is now available for desktop and mobile with a few bug fixes.
Desktop
- Fixed position of fold indicators in reading mode (for real this time).
- Installer has been updated to Electron 32.2.5. This includes the fix for Developer Tools not remembering dark mode.
Mobile
- Fixed share extension not working on iOS 18.
- Fixed drag and drop in the file explorer and outline view not working on iOS.

Obsidian 1.7 is now available for desktop and mobile!
This update makes Obsidian much faster to load, and reduces memory usage. You should see significant performance improvements across all platforms.
The new Sync History view shows a list of edits across the vault, useful when collaborating on a shared vault. Activate it using the "Sync: Show Sync history" command.
Plus, you can now click inside a page preview to edit it without opening the note.

- iOS: The option to skip iCloud loading will now appear earlier.
- If a plugin takes a while to load at startup, a message will appear and give you the option to disable the plugin and restart the app.

Obsidian 1.7.1 (early access) is now available to Catalyst members for desktop and mobile.
Startup time is significantly faster on mobile. For vaults with 10,000+ notes you can expect to see at least 50% reduction in load time.
Editable page previews and footnotes are also improving quickly. Page previews stay open even if the window loses focus or the command palette appears. Pressing "Esc" instantly closes the page preview while editing.
+ many more small fixes and improvements!
