I didn't raise a ticket because it was a problem back when you were having known issues with notifications. You told me to try the FDroid version but that didn't work either.
This is on version 3.42.0-beta-2 from the Play Store. Stock Pixel 7 Pro.

I haven't had notifications for a very long time in the app. When I go to settings and select Fedilab as the push agent, I come out of that screen and go back in - it has returned to "none". I assumed it was a long running bug?

Just to advocate on behalf of the frog, they don't see prey when it's not moving. The fly couldn't know this so it's not implementing a defense system, it's just an unfortunate coincidence for the frog and a lucky one for the fly.

Cork won't take you long but it has a special place in my heart so it'd be my recommendation. There are a lot of lovely places you can reach easily from there.
Conversely I found Limerick a bit... limited personally.

Are there any good horror games out there where the focus is on exploration and puzzling but NOT in being chased by overwhelming enemies? I absolutely don't enjoy the chase element at all and feel like I'm probably missing out on some good genre pieces as a result.
I've got Bendy (but not played it yet), Home Safety Hotline, Black Book, Dead Letter Dept and I've wishlisted The Horror (though that doesn't seem survival based). Are there others I'm missing?

I need to get a sign made for the public wild space and I'm struggling to find a signmaker that will do it. Aside from recommendations for anyone who could make a weatherproof B/VI-accessible sign in the UK it would help to know:
* We have been told more visually impaired people are able to read raised text over braille. Is that likely, would raised text be the more inclusive option?
* We're planning to note the length of the nature path on the sign, which we assume would be helpful (please correct me on that though) but we also want to note the location of a bench. Is this practically useful?
* The bench is just off the main path, literally next to it. What would be the best way to indicate its location so it could be found. By distance from the sign?
* If you do use signage in community spaces or wish there were more, what other information might you want to have on the sign apart from the above, and contact details? We are reaching out to local organisations to raise awareness of the nature walk too.

App version 3.31.1 from play store (because it's easier to configure notification provider though it still does not work), translation from alt text causes a crash. Crash reports are turned on but aren't being generated, the app just force stops. Stock Android 15.

A question for #gardening fedi - I planted two periwinkles/vincas near my pond the other day in neutral/mild acid soil, well drained and in as close to full sun as I can get in my garden.
Within a day or so the flowers were gone, now it looks like the whole thing is expiring and I can't see why. The roots weren't damaged, it had some rotted compost in the root soil and was watered sufficiently - other plants planted at the same time were fine, there's no browning of the leaves.
If anything I suspect it has been eaten by birds... is that a thing??

I signed up for the Tidal 30 day trial today - they offer it as standard when you create an account, it's not a time limited offer. There's an opportunity to make it a 60 day trial for £2/local equivalent. Student pricing is available at 50% off.
At the end of the setup process I was offered use of a transfer service to get my tracks out of Spotify but I'd already signed up to Free Your Music at £13.99 a quarter - I did it before I realised Tidal were going to offer theirs and wouldn't recommend it because the cancellation process was a *total* pain; however the free options in all the transfer services seem to be limited to 500 tracks.
Most things transferred over, I lost about ten tracks that weren't found and had to re-match a few. Mostly the rematches were classical pieces which had a different orchestral arrangement, some obscure hip hop pieces and one artist with a plus sign in their name.
The Tidal layout is VERY similar to Spotify so I didn't find it hard to navigate. Likewise recommendations are also good and don't seem quite as mainstream as Spotify, but it's harder to find playlists curated by other users so if you like that you might miss it (I was signed up to a few from Drift Records which are lost now).
I'm moving from Spotify for a few reasons: I didn't like that they canned Andrew Tate for breaking their policies but had to make it clear it had nothing to do with people wanting them to do it. I hate the way they treat artists. I didn't like it when they started login policing the premium account I was paying for and my mother lost access to her account because we're not in the same household - Tidal allows six people on their family plan to use the account provided they're in the same _country_ at the point of registration, not the same house.
The quality on Tidal is better too - that's their selling point - I tried a few tracks (Bach's Unaccompanied Cello Suite #1 via Yo-Yo Ma, Bullshit Baby by Ms Henrik and I Prefer Your Love by St Vincent) and every single track had a better aural range than the Spotify version. The mobile app is also similar to Spotify but with better audio options.
As far as I can tell there are no audiobooks, podcasts or other fuckery on Tidal. If there are I haven't found them - and I prefer not to pay for things I won't/can't use anyway so I won't miss that noise. They do push video content quite hard but it's easy enough to hide it.

Looking at the web interface today I'm having the same issues - so it's an instance issue but there haven't been any recent code updates.
Essentially, before the app update Fedilab would show a normal feed even where the web feed didn't; but now it mirrors the web feed issues - I don't suppose there's an older/archive version of the app I can roll back to so that I can test that is there? I'm reluctant to start installing older APKs from unknown sources...

Yes, I cleared the cache and uninstalled/reinstalled the app but have the same problem. Only one profile photo appears correctly, and it's a user on Hometown software.

Since the update I can't see user profile pics or images without clicking on them (they are always blurred in the feed whether they've been marked sensitive or not).
Is this happening to anyone else? I updated via Play Store as on the fdroid version it didn't offer any providers for push notifications.
Version 3.29.1 on Android 15.

Yes though it has changed twice now - it used to just say unable to save media. Yesterday it said I had to set my download folder in settings but I couldn't find anywhere to do that.
Today it says "Media saved" but the Android download manager says download unsuccessful and the file is not saved.
