Thank you to everyone who used my app. I won’t be switching providers, but instead will shut down the service after the TENOR API is no longer available now that many clients integrate GIFs natively.
Truly grateful for everything I learned while working on it and where it took me.
The future of Nostr is very bright and I look forward to building on it with you all.

Between FIPS and Bitchat, it seems we’re moving toward network-agnostic development where information is sent through the best route available whether it be WiFi, Bluetooth or LoRA
FIPS approach in not requiring clients to rearchitect their app so that it can send information over these shorter distance networks when internet is unavailable will be a winning strategy

See you need a NIP60 wallet so that the user’s balance can viewed across clients
But then you need a lightning address so that you’re interoperable with other clients so then you get a npub.cash address
But users don’t want to run their own server for a lightning address or their own mint to hold funds so then you need a bitcoin address for self custody tied to their npub
But then you need the ecash wallet to transfer from a mint to self-custody so you need a Submarine Swap using Boltz.exchange sdk
And that’s how you get self-custody zaps without running a node

In the medium term, I wonder what your thoughts are on earning interest on dollars (which can roll into Bitcoin) now that products like STRC exist
How do you see that? Could it bring more people to Strike that otherwise wouldn’t have joined? Or is it a distraction from holding Bitcoin when you can open a line of credit to pay bills?
