I haven't followed Michael Saylor closely for a long time. While many people follow the news about Bitcoin’s price closely, I’m far less interested in it. I already understand the core reasons why Bitcoin goes up in value and have seen the cycle repeat enough times and that it has dips here and there on the way. So the talk about it does not interest me that much.
That said, credit where it’s due: when I first discovered him through Robert Breedlove’s interview series, he genuinely opened my eyes to several important concepts that still shape my thinking today. However, constantly listening to someone whose commentary revolves almost entirely around price? No thanks.
I started pulling away when he made a big deal about not donating to Bitcoin developers and pushed hard for ossification (even though I actually see ossification as a likely prediction - but far in the future). The final straw was when he bragged about paying for the pizza on the pizza day with fiat instead of Bitcoin. The logic baffled me: by spending fiat, you’re still spending the money you could have used to buy more Bitcoin. So there's not a huge difference really.
As for$MSTR, I wish him well, but I believe he’s playing with fire. It's not gonna hurt us though. Even if the company were to go bankrupt, I think the impact on Bitcoin’s price would be temporary at most. Anyone who doesn’t own MSTR shares and simply holds their Bitcoin in self-custody will be just fine.
I only caught wind of his recent MSTR hype over the past years because Sina was covering it at the time and I was helping him with editing the videos. And about STRC, I literally know nothing.
Overall, while I’ve learned a lot from Saylor, he has largely lost relevance for me in the Bitcoin space.

The whole world, including the US, has tried to keep the regime, especially its nuclear program, under control. While the US has spoken on several occasions about keeping the military option on the table, the general approach among European countries has been to minimize the effects of the cancer that the Islamic Republic represents, rather than to eliminate it entirely. This has been the more pronounced approach among Democratic leaders of the US too.
When it comes to sanctions, most Western powers have been united in enforcing them against the regime. But they have proven not to be enough.
The regime in Iran has been especially aggressive toward the US and Israel since its inception. They do not chant "Down with Germany" or "Down with Canada," but they do chant slogans against the US and Israel. The first leader of the revolution famously declared that "Israel must be wiped off the map").
The threats of the regime against these countries have not been limited to words. The hostage taking in the early days of the revolution, which resulted in the closure of the US embassy, is one of the great examples. The regime has been strongly implicated in the 9/11 attacks and Trump's assassination attempt. Iran has funded and waged proxy wars against Israeli civilians. Hezbollah and Hamas are notable examples of such proxy forces.
It makes sense that the US and Israel would be the first to launch an attack. My hope is that the war does not linger (and fortunately, the evidence points in that direction), but should it drag on, actions such as blocking the Strait of Hormuz or bombing neighboring countries would draw in more nations with greater skin in the game. I hope it does not come to that. Nothing would remain of the country and even if we manage to take it back from these lunatics, we would face a difficult time re-establishing relations with many countries, especially our neighbors.
I understand the concern of US citizens. But I disagree that this attack is an example of policing the world. The US and Israel had more to lose if the regime kept behaving the way it did.

Every country is different. You can't assume a war against Iran's Islamic regime would play out exactly like Iraq or Afghanistan.

The US is not playing the world police. Ending the threat of the Islamic regime in Iran is in America's interest. The Islamic regime was implicated in the assassination attempt on President Trump, the regime had knowledge of an attack being planned to be carried out on 9/11, and provided some of Al-Qaida members with "secret" passes through the country. I've been doing keto/carnivore for several years, but over the last 2-3 years I've struggled with stubborn belly fat that crept back and I couldn't consistently drop it.
I jokingly blamed my fiancée at first: since we met, I've eaten out more often, joined social gatherings with carby food, and tried her new dishes. (But to be honest, if I give in to cheat days more readily and frequently, it's not on her, it's my responsiblity to stick to my plan.)
For a while I suspected the occasional chocolate bars I eat here and there. Those definitely didn't help. To fight back, I devised a plan to track my pure carnivore days using Google Calendar and "scoring" my streaks. It definitely made some improvement: seeing the streak made me far less likely to cave late in the day. Office days and jujitsu days were still risky for cheats, but the system kept them mostly under control.
Our company organized a running race last year, so I signed up early and used it as motivation. I went zero-cheat carnivore for ~3 months leading up to it. My belt got noticeably looser—I had to tighten it two degrees—but my stomach still wasn't as flat as in 2018 when I first started keto (and wasn't training as hard as now).
I added targeted core work to my routine, but the results were inconsistent: some days looked promising, others not so much.
Then I realized the likely culprit: the electrolyte tablets I've been taking for years. When I first checked, I saw some mg of sugar and thought, "Eh, milligrams, no big deal." Wrong! It was in fact12,000 mg, which is equal to 12 g and what's more, that was the sugar content of 3 tablets — not the sugar content in 100g or the content for the whole package. On pure carnivore (where I thrive best), even that was too much. With multiple jiujitsu sessions a day, I'd easily take more than 3, especially in summers.
The gain was so gradual I didn't connect the dots right away. Don't be too hard on me. I'm living abroad, where I skimmed the foreign-language packaging and got tripped up by the "mg." (Yeah, I should have known better.)
After trying everything else to reclaim my "superman" days, I finally addressed this last suspect. A couple of days ago I ordered plain, no-sugar electrolyte capsules. I'll take them only when absolutely necessary. I try to just stick with the good salt I've recently gotten hold of from a nearby steakhouse, but 1-3 capsules per day might be still needed.
I started the experiment on March 19 (2 days ago). From day 1, sharper focus, longer-lasting satiety, and better sleep came back in — something I experienced in my "superman" days. I suspect those old tablets were kicking me out of ketosis regularly. The trial isn't over, but these early signs feel like I've finally found the fix.
Here's a current pic: belly still protruding (90 cm circumference = 35.4 inches). I'm optimistic about reaching a visible six-pack now that this mistake is fixed. That's why I'm posting now. Let's see how it goes.

Did you actually watch the video to the end (it's under two minutes), or were you just itching to broadcast your opinion to the world?
"Better relationship with the IRGC"? Who the hell claimed that? Neither father nor son had a "better" or "worse" tie. Both were on exactly the same team, sharing the same hardcore ideology. This isn't about swapping out one leader for another who'll play nicer with the IRGC. It's about toppling the entire regime, which means taking down its commander-in-chief (the supreme leader) along with the whole oppression machine and its enforcers. The players from Iran's women's soccer team may face execution should they be sent back to Iran.
These brave young women refrained from singing the regime's anthem at the opening of one of their matches.
