I just think it's natural that as it gets bigger the time it takes to make large gains will increase. Barring geopolitical changes or world events I think the bitcoin price is destined to become quite boring.

At risk of being called a spook I don't think it's all manipulation, I think it's more like just that Bitcoin will be harder and harder on newcomers as it matures. I'm sorry it's been so tough but I believe you will get your moment. As Odell would always say, stay humble and stack sats.

75% of Knots runners will use it, maybe 10-15% of miners will signal for it at the peak. I think it'll have a quick start in terms of nodes runners but it'll plateau. If people against BIP-110 start getting antagonistic, elitist and celebrating early I think there will be a second wave of adopters.
All in all I think things will be getting get very tense until August. I think the end result is a chain split because people will engage in a competition to see who can get the highest fee rate transaction in the first force-activated block to cause an immediate minority chain split.
I hope it will be a wake up call to the BIP-110 supporters that you can't bully the network into following your rules if there is an intolerant majority. I also hope it's a wake up call to Core and the community at large that we need to unify, not splinter. If things get as heated as I worry it will, I'm concerned that there will be a psycho or two getting violent in real life but I very much hope I'm wrong on that one.

You just reminded me that I once wrote a program in Pascal. Dart seems like a fine modern language but it doesn’t try to be a C++ competitor from what I can see. FFI is cool though!

I recently sold one of the coins I mined after a random huge price pump. I did a quick google and people were claiming the creator was actually Satoshi, I'm not talking about BSV either. I traded it for Bitcoin and made quite a large % profit (in sats). That's why I say the coins I still hold are more lottery tickets than anything. If they go to zero I don't care and if they moon I just trade them for more sats. I suspect in 5-10 years I'll have no shitcoins left.

What you do with your own time is up to you. It's a fools game trying to pass other peoples ever-changing purity tests. Personally I greatly enjoyed GPU mining for 2 years and grew my stack by doing so. I'd trade most alts for Bitcoin immediately and some I just left as lottery tickets. These days I don't mine anymore and about 3.5% of my "wealth" is shitcoins that I can't be arsed to sell. The rest is Bitcoin.
I will say I learned a lot GPU mining and I feel I can make much better arguments against Ethereum and multi-chain worlds than a lot of dogmatic Bitcoiners because I've experienced the pros and cons deeply myself, instead of relying on what someone else dogmatically told me. It was also a very fun hobby!

I made a pretty big decision this weekend. I'm going to quit my fiat job and commit to working full time on open source projects until I can get myself one of those rare Bitcoin jobs. It's both scary and exciting to be fully in the driving seat of every aspect of my life but at the end of the day, you gotta bet on yourself right?
