Nettle harvesting ongoing. Nettle risotto, nettle soup. Nettles in the freezer for later too.
And if you put them in water for some months, it makes a good fertilizer.
Also planning to sprinkle some seeds around so maybe there will be more in the future.

First manger scene of the season. At the Casa do Sal, which is the local history museum for the salt works in the town of Castro Marim, in southeastern Portugal. There have been salt flats here maybe since Roman times. They are still actively worked by hand. Here are a few photos. The “snow” is actually salt.

I started using Nostr and Alby quite some time ago. Then I had to reformat my computer. I am using Ubuntu OS and the Brave browser. Now when I log on to Iris.io it brings up a separate Alby window that says: “Set a passcode to unlock Alby Extension in this browser”. I don’t understand what that is. I do not remember seeing that prompt previously. Please clarify what I am supposed to do. Pretend that I am your grandmother in your explanation please.

Liver can be great. A lot of people say they hate liver and I was one of those people. But I ran across a recipe for Julia Child's Chicken Liver Mousse and decided to try it. I was so glad I did. So good. I started to crave it. I think if those of you who don't like liver tried it, there is a good chance you will change your mind about liver. I have made it with chicken and beef liver and it came out great.

I just ate part of a monster. Just kidding. It was part of a monstera deliciosa fruit. The monstera is a very popular house plant but it does grow outdoors in zone 10 where it does not freeze. This fruit came from a monstera near me in the Algarve in Portugal.

On linux there is "video downloader" that works great. If you don't run linux, I think doing a search for "video downloader" might get you some useful results.
