This is a simple thing that I see so many people miss, if you are punished for words you said by the government rather it be federal or local you do not have free speech. It's that simple. Also no the argument of "You have free speech you just also have consequences for what you say" isn't a good argument because it's exactly the whole idea that free speech is supposed to protect against. They keep trying to say "oh but what about the children" to pass horrific laws. How about if you don't want your kids doing things online you use the parental controls that are already on 90% of devices at this point or maybe tell your kid if they do what you told them not to do you will beat them or something. It's not the governments job to restrict everything just because a few parents suck at being parents. I'm going to use only #ditto for 2 weeks, my only client just so that I will play with it enough to have a real feel for it. Dive into settings and such. I've been using it all day today, it's mostly good, a couple little annoyances so far with the biggest one being the dang scrollbar on mobile. Also haptics would be a nice addition I think when using the bottom navbar, just a little confirmation that I did in fact click a button in the navbar.

Assuming Google goes through with their lockdown of android at that point I see no reason for a normal Android user to keep using Android. I even think Apple makes more sense at that point, not because it's more open but because of the better hardware, that way at very least you are getting better hardware. If your options are locked down crap android hardware or locked down good apple hardware then I think the choice seems pretty clear. Also yes I know GrapheneOS exists, I'm speaking of the choice between Google and Apple though.

Games suck, play old stuff or indie stuff or just accept that games are trash now and find something else to do. It's funny how the more money they get involved, the better the tech gets and the bigger the team gets the game gets worse.
