Random thought I want to offload from my brain: I pay $120 a year to store a bunch of pics and videos i probably don't want to watch anyways, what are my alternative options to ensure i dont lose these keepsakes that i don't want to part with but also don't want to pay thousands of dollars over a lifetime....i think i already paid about 360-600 dollars so far and looked at them a few times. would this be the same cost to just use a nostr service? cant i get a better cost? or just simply invest in a harddrive which i am afraid that would corrupt the data anyways? all these digital keepsakes are annoying to maintain, and costly. i used to have a junk jewelry box that was a one time fee of 10 bucks and stored in my closet....

I have been thinking a lot about how people need more confidence in themselves. Not the everyone gets a trophy kind of way. A more disciplined confidence. Learned skills about how to be a better leader. A better peer. A better overall person.
I am thinking we need to walk the line of this balance of discipline and support.
Rooting for your side is fine, but also be able to be mature enough to understand defeat without spiraling into a pit of self-destruction and unhealthy vices that only mask the wounds.
I spent years trying to escape this grip of self-pity. Instead of understanding I was letting certain losses weigh me down, and sometimes, used as an excuse for my escapism. Once you are in this specific pattern it is hard to get out of that loop.
I am definitely an emotional eater. This is my last vice I have that is out of control. Although the others were pretty easy to release because they didn't do much for me. Besides cigarettes. Food and cigarettes were and are the hardest. But cigarettes has been a thing of the past. It's been about 3-5 years. I cant even remember because it doesn't even seem real that I smoked religiously before.
I was never a drinker. I had a moment, but it was never my go-to. I was never into drugs after a few times experimenting. Although I think mushrooms should be legal. Kind of silly. I rather hang out with someone on mushrooms than drinking. Same goes for cannabis. I rather you smoke than drink. I can't stand being around people that can't go a day without drinking. I don't even think about it much. And to have a conversation with someone every day that is drunk is worse than any conversation I could have with anyone that is sober.
But anyways, it isn't about alcohol.
It is about learning to value yourself, your confidence, so you have a more solidified core or foundation, where you don't need to make the pain disappear with anything that is excessive, food, drugs, thrill seeking experiences or whatnot.
My new focus is trying to kick this emotional eating. I guess I am putting this here to keep myself accountable so I can build that disciplined confidence.

i am trying to convince everyone to get them in new home builds, especially nursing homes and retirement homes. it makes logical sense to help clean up better, especially for people with mobility issues. it should be automatically built in, like a shower. also i am all for getting rid of bathtubs and make a standing shower. i am young and i still almost slip in those wet walls.
that was very smart to get one. i am trying to convince my family to put one in the house. was it hard to install?

This reminds me of something that happened yesterday and the spider story.
I had the story in my head, and I was walking outside at work. I was about to enter the building so I pressed the button to open the door, and this ant starting running around like crazy because it was near the button.
I put my hand in a stop motion and said some form of stop or relax. It literally stopped as soon as I said that.
And I was like, "oh ok. neat"

By using AI, this could have be transformed into a short program inside the post. It would have read all the text, gave me a picture tour of what's happening....I think this newsletter style post is going to get elevated, where it will come to life and pop off the page as a 30-5 minute program. This is a script the AI can go off of, and I can only imagine how many of these I would watch. It would have energy and vibes and character and it would draw so much attention.
If there are videos, it would play in the end, after the AI intro about what is happening and guiding us through all the materials.
I think this is one avenue for the future of learning.
