Cleaning out the chicken coop this morning. We have nine chickens, eight hens and one rooster. The chickens are very low maintenance, most of what I do is just clean out their coop about once a quarter. Most of the time they don’t have food or water in the coop, they just free range and drink from my dogs infinite water bowl. Since we have the dogs around, they never get messed with by any predators. And they produce an egg about every 26 hours so you will usually have about seven eggs a day.

I got reolink Ethernet cams, motion sensor flood lights, multiple trail cams so I can see plates of every car that enters my county road a mile before they get to my house, multiple big dogs that sleep outside in yard. And security system on all windows and doors. Volunteer firefighter so I have groups of guys close by that would come at drop of a hat if needed. Friends with all neighbors . I’ve been a developer for about 10 years and I am absolutely astounded by how powerful AI is, specifically Claude code. It is also dangerous because it sucks you in to spend a lot more time on the computer for example at work I don’t think anybody else is using Claude code or anything like that and my time on my computer is now 100 X more productive than theirs so it makes it very hard not to sign on and do some work. It’s like having a superpower. You want to use it all the time, but it takes away from your personal life if you are not careful. I have never felt more strongly about how much this is going to change the world over the next 5 to 10 years. The way we interact with machine machines will not be recognizable.

Money is just a tool we use to keep track of how much value we have given to the world or taken from the world. To be good for this it must be scarce and hard to make more of it, because everyone who interacts with it has an incentive to create more of it. It must also be easy to move around and durable (apples would be a bad money because they are bulky and would rot). Gold with its durability and scarcity was the best way of doing this until we invented the internet and formed a 24/7 global economy. Now Bitcoin is the best way of keeping track. It is more scarce than gold (only 21 million coins) and easier to move around (sends over internet at speed of light). Since humanity will be more efficient in trade and therefore more productive using Bitcoin, and it cannot be corrupted or inflated, it is a foregone conclusion the world will eventually adopt it.

Even Primal UI is dismal. Likes don’t stick, posts get shown multiple times., etc etc. maybe we should make a client that is centralized like X, except it also broadcasts all of the content to NOSTR. For example when you make a post it publishes to NOSTR but then saves it to a centralized database. Then all UI is fetched from the database and shown on the UI. Then we have the speed and niceties and performance of a centralized client, with also having all of the benefits of #NOSTR
