If you tried to re-write the constitution today, you'd have to battle the nut cases that want the country to be a Christian theocracy (among many similar issues).

I seriously tried to join the ranks of the keyboard snobs, using a fancy mechanical keyboard. Special key switches! Movable keycaps! (needed so I could put END where I can find it). Fancy Color LEDs!
But after a year of constant typos, I finally gave up and went back to my Mac extended. Something about the super-low profile and the key separation works so much better for me.

I predict the Trump / Musk bromance will last 2-3 Scaramuccis, (4-6 weeks) tops. Trump insists on yes-men, Musk is outspoken.
All it will take is Musk making a vaguely disparaging public remark, or telling Trump "No that's stupid, you need to do it this way" to his face, and he's fired.

@npub19en…wkk5 I used to live in SLC. So much of Trump's behavior should be offensive to Mormons. Do they still support him anyway?
I heard Harris/Dems were reaching out to Mormons on that basis.

You may need to join the mailing list briefly, but you'll find somebody in that community with hardware to read the tape set up and ready to go.
I contacted them for a friend in a similar situation, and he found somebody willing to read it & send the data for a small fee.

Retro computer fans: Paul Allen's collection of historic computer artifacts is up for auction at Christies. Many were on display at the Living Computer Museum in Seattle before it closed.
The Christies site is full of excellent hi-res color photos of Allen's collection. I've written a script to download the photos, as I suspect once the sales commission checks are cashed, the photos will go away.
