Hier springt nichts ein. Das ist einzig für Kommunikation zwischen Hosts und Routern im selben (v)lan gedacht. Sobald es weiter gehen soll, sind die Adressen ungeeignet.
Die Verwendung von DNS ist praktisch auch ausgeschlossen, da link local Adressen global nicht eindeutig sind.
Ob Container damit sinnvoll etwas machen können, weiß Ich nicht. Als allgemeine Regel ist das Video bzw. seine Aussage Quatsch.

Kurz: Link local Adressen erhöhen nicht nur die Sicherheit aufgrund ihrer eingeschränkten Reichweite, sie haben auch eine sehr eingeschränkte Verwendbarkeit. Segment und internes Netz werden hier synonym verwendet.
Der Verdacht liegt nah, dass es sich um AI Müll handelt. Und falls ein Mensch drüber geschaut hat, dann ohne Ahnung.

I tried a mobileconfig file with settings to dualstack (3), no IPv6 appears. IPv4 also doesn't disappear.

Regarding three:
I loaded the esim in to a iphone. The only IPv6 address I see is used for VoLTE.
In case you are able to provide a mobileconfig file for me, I will try it. But I will leave UK in 36h.

But about the maintenance/disruption of NAT64 GW service: I would expect a rerouting or useful failover on the network/server side, never a change of the prefix! It would need to be changed by DNS64 too.

Of course RFC 9872 exists. To deprecate RFC 7050 is justified in long term. But to state, that RFC 7050 isn't used is 🤔

Ich sage es mal diplomatisch:
"Im Vortrag in Berlin (siehe Link oben) hieß es explizit, dass Windows ein fehlendes IPv4 als Fehlerzustand interpretiert, der zur Deaktivierung von IPv6 führt. So hatte ich es jedenfalls verstanden."
Das widerspricht meiner langjährigen Teilzeit-Windowserfahrung. Wir (Münchner Wissenschaftsnetz) haben schon seit über einem Jahrzehnt campusweit ein IPv6-only Netz in Betrieb. In dem hat sich auch Windows wohlgefühlt.

Der Teil der Aussagen von w.b. ist nicht ganz wahr. Auch Windows läuft seit Jahren in IPv6only Netzen (mit DNS64/NAT64) ohne Probleme.
CLAT steht dort nur auf der Roadmap um eine höhere IPv4 Kompatibilität für (alte) Anwendungen zu gewährleisten.

Do you use a LTE-dongle or a Smartphone (tethering/hotspot).
At least smartphones distinguish between the protocols (IPv4 and IPv4/IPv6) for national and roaming settings.

Bei der Swisscom soll's ja im zweiten Halbjahr 2026 losgehen. Ich gucke eben nur mal ab und zu in de und at (beides Roamingfälle) nach.
Meine Erfolgsquote bzgl. Beschwerden bei Hotels &co geht auch eher gegen Null.

Or in other words: At the moment it is not possible to use more than one Windows-PC with IPv6-mostly-support (Preview only ) in a IPv6-mostly or IPv6-only Network.
By accident a host may use one of the other mapped IPv4 addresses (out of 192.0.0.0/29) . But in general it takes the first one anywhere.
and W.B. is right: MS has to fix that problem before it gets released for the masses

Falls jemand in München und Umgebung (habe d-ticket) einen Rechner mit dem Betakanal des Windows-Insider-Programm am Laufen hat, ich wäre über einen CLAT Test (via WLAN) mit zwei Rechnern sehr erfreut. Ein mobiler IPv6-mostly Hotspot und mein Rechner stehen zur Verfügung.

I have seen the
::c0:0:100:0
::c0:0:200:0
but I thought it is a kind of leet speak for clat, but it is 192.0.0.1 192.0.0.2 and so on.
So I don't know happens with 8or9 devices, since 192.0.0.0 is already the virtual default gw.

Since Microsoft is mapping the 192.0.0.2/29 in to the additional IPv6 address, they only would be able to auto assign 8 of them.

Habe soeben meine Liste, der mich am meisten nervenden Internetmängel aktualisiert.
Vodafoneroaming als großes Problem habe ich runter genommen, da es bei den letzten Reisen funktioniert hat.
Samknows (die Whitebox) habe ich verschrottet. Das Cisco-Projekt stirbt schon seit Jahren vor sich hin.
WLAN-Call habe ich auch runter genommen, weil ich ja nun weiß, woran es gelegen hat. Der Workaround ist zwar hässlich aber er funktioniert wenigstens.

Danke für die Recherche, aber Ort, Fluggerät und Zeit sind nun erheblich abweichend.
Bin gerade noch einmal die bayerischen Polizeimeldungen durchgegangen. Sie hat sich dazu nicht geäußert.
Bei einem ähnlichen Kreisen über Riem vor ein paar Monaten wurde anschließend öffentlich mitgeteilt wer gesucht und gefunden wurde.

Weiß nicht ob die vielen Umrundungen hier dazu passen.
Flugzeuge, die in Erding landen und von Süden/Südwesten kommen, drehen meist vorher lautstark ab. Wüsste deshalb nicht, was es hier zu vermessen gibt. Habe mich auch gewundert keine Polizeimeldungen in Nachhinein dazu gefunden zu haben.
