China’s real estate market just erased 20 years of gains. Look at that chart. Peak in 2021, now sitting below 2006 levels. That’s not a correction , that’s a collapse.
Here’s what nobody is connecting yet.
Chinese households store roughly 70% of their wealth in real estate. That wealth is evaporating. When that happens people rotate into hard assets — gold first, then everything else. If Chinese equity markets start bidding up gold aggressively, other countries follow. Gold runs. And historically when gold runs hard Bitcoin isn’t far behind.
Now flip it. What if this happened in the United States?
American households store wealth in real estate AND retirement accounts. If property values collapsed like China’s the Fed would print. They always print. And if they print hard enough even the people who never touched Bitcoin start asking if their savings account is actually safe.
That’s when Bitcoin stops being a speculation and becomes a necessity.

Pakistan just ended a 7 year Bitcoin and crypto ban for banks. Let that sink in.
This isn’t a small market either. Pakistan has the third largest retail crypto market in the world with roughly 40 million participants already in the space. The demand was always there, the government just finally stopped fighting it.
Here’s what’s interesting about how they structured it. Banks can now open accounts for crypto service providers but they cannot invest their own money or their customers money into crypto. That’s actually a smart guardrail. We’ve seen what happens when banks overlever customer deposits and those customers need access to their funds fast. SVB. Lebanon. The list goes on.
This forces banks to hold fiat and stay in their lane while still serving the crypto economy. Less systemic risk, more access. That’s a win.
Another government realizing you can’t ignore what 40 million of your own people are already doing.
Adoption doesn’t ask for permission. It just keeps moving.

Japan just made a major move. The government officially classified crypto as a financial instrument and backed plans to cut the maximum tax rate on crypto profits down to a flat 20%.
This isn’t a small headline.
Japan is one of the largest financial markets in the world. When they start treating Bitcoin like an asset class instead of a payment tool it opens the door for institutional money that couldn’t touch it before. ETFs, pension funds, asset managers — they all need regulatory clarity before they move.
Japan just gave them that clarity.
Watch for ETF inflows out of Japan to start building. This is the same playbook the US ran before the spot ETF approval in 2024 — regulatory recognition first, institutional capital second, price follows.
Bitcoin doesn’t need everyone to adopt it at once. It just needs one major economy at a time to open the door.
