With smart enough money, those which currently do work as/for such a central authority will have their jobs freed to work on solutions to more pressing problems which will better benefit society.

Playing Uno actually by the standard rules seems to make it a way simpler, more easily understandable game, whilst actually making it more strategic. The many popular variations tend to end up causing more chaos and pain for the players, especially if they can't be agreed on.
Not saying that chaos is bad or anything, though I do recommend looking through the gameplay leaflet before starting your next play session.

Maybe? In this situation I didn't see the pretext as relevant enough to note in my comment – there definitely is legal precedent to invalidate consent afterwards if not enough information was provided beforehand. For example in the case where one party neglects to inform the other of having some STD, in which case it could cause real harm, or if one party is underage or doesn't have enough understanding of consent to know they were pressured/sexually assaulted.
However in cases like this it seems significantly less severe. It would be flippant of me to say "ok? just don't have sex with them again then", but from what I've seen, real victims of rape tend to see similar cases as abuse of a system intended to protect people who misunderstood the meaning of their consent or were pressured into thinking they did. Thank you for pointing that out though, consent vitiation is indeed a wider and more nuanced topic than I originally thought.

The perennial generative AI debate is actually pretty awesome. It's got parts about IP & copyright, environmental benefits & consequences, impact on the future, control by government/corporations, technological feasibility, mathematical inner workings, deep philosophical musings about the nature of imagination/cleverness/creativity/consciousness etc, and of course a touch of existential risk. Each argument has a bit of everything in it and I learn a ton from every conversation!
It's also one of the few topics where I can debate about it online and not feel my blood pressure rising during the process.

I needed to have ethernet in a part of my house that didn't have a cable. I'll run a cable there eventually, but in the meantime I found an old wireless range extender and used that instead.
Now I'm connecting my PC up to it and realising how strangely slow the speeds were (~700 Kbps), so I look up the model number of the adapter to find its rated speed.
Turns out it's a powerline adapter. Reason for the slow speeds was that it was on an extension cable with the rest of my networking equipment. Moved it to its own socket, speeds 100x'ed.
