I think our son was a senior in high school the time we went away for a weekend and told him "nobody in the house." When we came back, he admitted that he'd "had a couple of the guys over." Then we found the garbage cans were filled to the brim with beer cans. And that told us they'd had girls over, because the kitchen floor wasn't sticky.

I remember the day after Martin Luther King, Jr's assassination. Kids on the school playground were laughing and saying that he deserved it.

I look at it this way:
Being an employee _IS_ a form of entrepreneurship.
You have one major client at a time. You need to make them happy in a way that works for you. It's also valuable to keep alert to when you need to change clients.

I learned long ago not to buy stocks of companies that I liked for other reasons. It made me blind to the potential risks of their future.
Instead, I principally bought an S&P500 index fund, which was a low-risk approach that paid handsomely over time.

Too many people wait for a chunk of "extra cash" before saving for the future.
Better to save a small amount of each paycheck. When I was making $2700/year (no, there's not a zero missing), I deposited a little bit of each paycheck.
A tiny amount saved periodically adds up faster than $0, or over a larger amount saved only one time.
