Been looking back at Graf's hatred of NOSTR, he accuses it of being full of CP (lie) because its impossible for NOSTR to prevent CSAM from being uploaded by its hosting model (lie).
NOSTR's media is the least centralized part of it, it's just a handful of big providers. If your contention is CP, you can just block media from whichever of the media hosts isn't moderating it.
But lying about CSAM is always Graf's move, so this isn't very surprising. A better excuse to get rid of it is text spam. That actually is unmanageable by design.

Every time I take Xannies I lose the entire day, and apparently yesterday was an eventful one.
I had a meeting at 9 AM, which a have a few snapshots of attending. I remember taking the actual pill, and that's it.
I woke up about 30 minutes ago fully dressed, but not in the clothes I went out in during the morning. There are a bunch of texts on my phone from a (woman?) I don't know. She's not in my contacts. I have 4 bags of Subway in my kitchen, not in the fridge. One of them is eaten, the rest are probably soggy. The earbuds that I always listen to music in were in the middle of the floor, and my bed is soaked. It doesn't smell, but the only options are sweat and piss, and I'm not taking my chances, so everything is getting washed rn.
No evidence of alcohol but I can't rule it out.

I don’t know anything about the author but it reminds me of a very bad book by an Eastern Orthodox monk that I just read, where he tried to recontextualize everything in the Taoist tradition into an incomplete version of what the Losskyites believe.
Mormons do this a lot too. Look up Hugh Nibley. It’s extremely easy to fall into the perennialist trap bc when you’re talking about abstract categories, and especially transcendental ones, you’re talking about a finite arrangement of principles that can’t be easily comprehended.

At page 78 he’s trying to draw a distinction between wind in spirit in Confucious. I don’t know how recent this essay is, I suspect fairly old, because the conflation of the two also happens in the Old Testament, and he doesn’t seem aware of this, whereas it’s a Bible translation issue that everyone knows about now.

In the West, Goodness is just maximized ontology, and we call that the Monad, or God the Father. We progress insofar as we participate in those goods.

If the world is timeless, and all beings have the potential to escape Samsara, it raises questions about the current state of the world. Given that the possibility of escape has always existed, it logically follows that all sentient beings would have already transcended Samsara from eternity past because there is no earliest point at which the bodhisattvas would have developed the plan to end all suffering long ago in eternity, therefore they also would have completed the plan long ago in eternity, therefore the world as we know it would no longer exist, and never would have, because the bodhisattvas always would have liberated everyone.
By the same line of logic, there must be an infinite number of sentient beings. If there were a finite number of beings, a "leak" would have occurred forever ago in eternity, therefore everyone would already have transcended in eternity, therefore the bodhisattva vow fails.
This paradox is present for any permanent categorical change in an eternal universe, because in that system, for a category to undergo any permanent change, the conditions for that change always had to have been present, and then it will already have either happened or not happened because the full length of time necessary will already have passed in eternity. Particular instantiations of a form might be able to undergo permanent change, but the totality form itself cannot, or it already would have, and the prior state couldn't have existed at all. It's a logical impossibility.
God creating a teleological world within a fixed set of time has a different paradox. If God transcends time, he cannot influence events within time. To do so implies a will that changes within time, otherwise everything would reach its telos instantly with intervention. If God is subject to time, then in a cosmos of theistic origin, there has to be another God above this Demiurge, one who eternally generates time. At that level there can be a few solutions, ultimately you have to pose a cyclical model again that the linear model is contained within, but you're already outside the realm of surviving worldviews at this point, so there's no point now, although in the ancient world this would have been a position worth exploring.
