One New Year's Eve, at a buddies card party, he & I had our first experience. A friend gave him a couple gummies. What's the normal dose? No clue. Started with 1/2th a square .. Half hour later... nothing.. Decided to add the other half. Oops. Half hour later, we started taking his little pooch to go potty out in the backyard every 10 minutes or so. My buddy & his wife were the host, and he kept repeating over and over while we watched the dog, "This isn't good. This isn't good" !! We both worried we wouldn't be able to hold our heads up off the table to see the cards, thought I might stop breathing, drank a resevoir's worth of water, couldn't touch a bite to eat!! Couldn't really focus in one spot. Man!! NEW YEARS EVE. for crying out loud. No snacks, no NOTHING.. Never been so wasted.. Ever.. Playing cards with 4 people my buddie, his wife, and me & my wife weren't entirely familiar with.. Neighborhood friends of my buddy. They musta wondered why that little dog had to go out every ten minutes for about an hour and a half.. Just couldn't sit at the table much longer than 10 minutes.. Found out late our wives didn't have a clue what was going on with their husbands. They weren't too thrilled with us that night. Looking back they can laugh now. The expressions of dread on both our faces while we were trying to be cool around the card table are funny now, some 15 years later.
