Maybe not the place to ask but I have pixel 7 with grapheneOS was just texting with my friend on google messages. She brought up how she sometimes will ask questions in situations where she feels vulnerable and I jokingly said that's what they teach you in the CIA.
I then jokingly asked if she was an agent and 30 seconds later my phone randomly switched off completely, while I was in the app texting still. Plenty of battery. No update. Not overheating. Nothing that I can tell promoted the shutdown. Just went blank and when I hit the power button it booted up.
Am I going crazy? Lol. Is there a log I can check and see why it may have shutdown?

I like the idea of a network with completely anonymous transactions but in practice you really shouldn't need them for everyday purchases, as long as the network is permissionless.
If you have a situation where you need to hide transactions there are other specialized networks for that.

Yeah. Not sure if regular android has it but @nprofile…nztg has a wifi and Bluetooth auto shut off. I set it for 1 min after disconnect to help minimize exposure.
No auto full airplane mode though...maybe they'll add that in the future.

I get paid in USD but I auto convert it to btc immediately. Then I use credit cards for daily purchases and at the end of the month I only convert the exact btc amount to pay off the credit card statement, using the 30 day grace period if needed to wait for a good BTC sell price depending on the price I paid throughout the month to convert each paycheck.
This way I feel like it maximizes my BTC accumulation, while creating minimal taxable events.
If I were to use btc to buy directly, I would create another taxable event, and depending on how btc moves, I could be losing out on any gains that happen later in the month.
IDK. For me at this point, being someone who hasn't been stacking for a long time, I want to hold as much btc for as long as possible to increase my total amount.

I agree but it all depends on your stack. The larger stacks should lead the transistion from a store of value to an everyday spending money.
More L2 adoption would help out too. Along with relaxed capital gains tax requirements.

To be fair, fiat was the best system they had back then to expand the global economy via a global reserve currency.
Without advanced computer systems, they could only expand the money supply by creating more fiat and "decrease" the supply, to combat inflation, by slowing the creation.
With a system like bitcoin, that has a fixed supply and is consistently divisible, to 8 decimals, you are able to provide a money to an increasing amount of people, without actually "increasing" the supply. But you need advanced computer systems.
The USD, needing real world physical representation, could only ever be divided to 2 decimals, and therefore increasing it's overall supply, not dividing a fixed supply, was the only solution.
Was greed and control also a factor? Probably. But it was also a technology problem. Thankfully satoshi solved it for us all now.
